1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
3/4 cup smooth peanut butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup tightly packed dark-brown sugar
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
6 ounces semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped

Steps:

  • Heat the oven to 350 degrees. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream butter, peanut butter, and sugars until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, and mix on medium speed until combined. Sift flour and baking soda together, and add to butter mixture, beating just to combine. Fold in chocolate chunks.
  • Using a 1 1/2-ounce ice-cream scoop, form cookies, and place on a baking sheet lined with a Silpat, pressing down slightly to flatten. Bake until golden brown, 18 to 20 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Store in an airtight container up to 1 week.

1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter or 3/4 cup chunky peanut butter
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (11 1/2 ounce) package semisweet chocolate chunks

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • In a small bowl, combine flour and baking soda.
  • In a large bowl, beat together brown sugar, peanut butter, butter and granulated sugar until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  • Stir in chocolate chunks.
  • Press into ungreased 13 x 9" baking pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 18-22 minutes or until center is set. Cool completely in pan on wire rack before cutting into bars.

¾ cup butter, softened
½ cup white sugar
½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract, or more to taste
1 cup peanut butter
1 ¾ cups unbleached flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
10 ounces chocolate chunks (such as Ghirardelli® Bittersweet Chocolate)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Beat butter, white sugar, and brown sugar together with an electric mixer in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Beat egg and vanilla extract into the butter mixture. Add peanut butter and beat until incorporated.
  • Sift flour and baking soda together in a separate bowl; mix into the butter mixture. Fold chocolate chunks into the mixture.
  • Spread the batter into a 13x9-inch baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into squares.

2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 bag (11.5 or 12 oz) semisweet chocolate chunks (2 cups)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray.
  • In large bowl, beat brown sugar and butter with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in peanut butter, vanilla and eggs until well blended. Stir in flour and baking powder. Stir in chocolate chunks. Spread in pan.
  • Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until set and golden brown. Cool completely in pan on cooling rack, about 1 hour. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.

1 1/2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
1/3 cup old-fashioned oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup old-fashioned chunky peanut butter (about 9 ounces)
1 cup (packed) golden brown sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
1/4 cup honey
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 ounces semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped

Steps:

  • Mix flour, oats, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Using electric mixer, beat peanut butter, brown sugar, butter, honey, egg and vanilla in large bowl until well blended. Stir dry ingredients into peanut butter mixture in 2 additions. Stir in chopped chocolate. Cover and refrigerate until dough is firm and no longer sticky, about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter 2 heavy large baking sheets. With hands, roll 1 heaping tablespoonful of dough for each cookie into 1 3/4-inch-diameter ball. Arrange cookies on prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 1/2 inches apart. Bake cookies until puffed, beginning to brown on top and still very soft to touch, about 12 minutes. Cool cookies on baking sheets 5 minutes. Using metal spatula, transfer cookies to rack and cool completely. (Can be made 2 days ahead. Store in airtight container at room temperature.)

  • Stir in peanuts. Spread to 1/4-inch thickness on foil-lined cookie sheet. Refrigerate about 30 minutes or until set. Break into pieces.

Nothing like a great 5 ingredient recipe! I made these twice as big as they called for and baked them for 18 minutes each. I used a devil's food cake mix....this was so easy and so good! This comes from the cookbook "Cake Mix Cookies".

1 (18 1/4 ounce) package chocolate cake mix
1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
1/2 cup butter, softened
3 large eggs
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Spray cookie sheets with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl place half of the cake mix along with the peanut butter, softened butter and eggs.
  • Blend with an electric mixer set on medium-high speed 1-2 minutes, until blended and smooth.
  • Stir in the remaining cake mix and chocolate chips with a wooden spoon until all dry ingredients are moistened.
  • Drop dough by teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto prepared cookie sheets.
  • Bake 10-12 minutes or until set a edges and just barely set at center.
  • Cool 1 minute on sheets.
  • Transfer to wire racks and cool completely.
