CLASSIC WHISKEY SOUR
If it's not made from scratch, it ain't a Whiskey Sour. For a cleaner, classier looking drink, strain the lemon juice to remove seeds and pulp.

Steps:
- Combine the simple syrup, lemon juice and whiskey in a shaker. Fill with ice. Cover and shake for about 30 seconds, until the shaker is frosty. Strain into martini glasses and garnish with a maraschino cherry. This can also be served in tumblers full of ice.

EASY HOMEMADE WHISKEY SOUR

- Stir simple syrup, whiskey, and lemon juice together in a glass. Stir in ice. Garnish with cherry.

FRESH WHISKEY SOURS
Steps:
- Combine the bourbon, lemon juice, lime juice, and syrup in a pitcher. Fill a cocktail shaker two-thirds full with ice and fill halfway full with the cocktail mixture. Shake for 30 seconds and pour into a martini glass. Repeat as needed. Serve each drink ice cold with a skewer of cherries.
- In a small bowl, combine the 1/2 cup dried cherries with 4 ounces of bourbon and microwave on high for 60 seconds. Set aside to cool. Thread 3 or 4 marinated cherries onto small skewers.
THE WHISKEY SOUR
Steps:
- Gather the ingredients.
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, pour the whiskey, lemon juice, and simple syrup.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a chilled sour glass or over fresh ice in an old-fashioned glass.
- Garnish with a maraschino cherry or lemon peel. Enjoy.

- Note: To make the sugar syrup, bring 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar to a boil, and simmer until the sugar is completely dissolved. Chill before using.

- Shake all of the ingredients (except for the lemon zest) hard with ice and strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Squeeze the lemon zest, shiny side down over the drink so the scented oils spray across the surface. Discard the zest, add the garnish and serve.

- Prepare 4 glasses: Place 1/4 cup orange juice in a shallow dish. Fill another shallow dish 1/2-inch deep with sanding sugar. Dip rims of glasses into juice and then into sugar. Chill in refrigerator 10 minutes.
- Place remaining 1 cup orange juice, sugar, lemon juice, and bourbon in a blender. Fill blender to top with ice. Blend until smooth, and transfer to prepared glasses. Garnish with orange or lemon slices.
