BLACK AND GOLD PIZZAS

Number Of Ingredients 7

8 1/3-inch-thick slices French bread baguette
Butter, room temperature
Freshly ground pepper
1/2 cup crème fraîche or sour cream
1 bunch fresh chives, minced
2 ounces golden caviar
2 ounces black caviar

Steps:

  • Preheat broiler. Broil bread until one side is toasted, about 1 minute. Spread second side with butter; sprinkle with freshly ground pepper. Broil bread until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
  • Spread crème fraîche over bread slices. Sprinkle chives in diagonal line across center of each. Spoon golden caviar on one side of chives, black on other side and then serve.

Yield Makes twelve 3- to 4-inch cookies

Number Of Ingredients 12

3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped coarse
18 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped coarse
1 stick (1/2 cup) plus 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
3 large eggs
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon instant espresso powder
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
6 tablespoons sifted all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups walnuts
1 1/2 cups pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325°F..
  • In a double boiler or a metal bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water melt unsweetened chocolate, 9 ounces semisweet chocolate, and butter, stirring occasionally, and remove top of double boiler or bowl from heat.
  • In a bowl with an electric mixer beat eggs with sugar until light and fluffy. Add espresso powder, vanilla, and chocolate mixture, beating until smooth.
  • In a small bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt and add to chocolate mixture, beating until just combined. Stir in remaining semisweet chocolate and nuts until combined well.
  • Scoop out 1/2-cup measures of cookie dough, arranging them 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake cookies in batches in middle of oven 25 minutes, or until tops begin to crack (do not overbake). Cool cookies on a rack.

  • Combine Mozart Black chocolate liqueur and Goldschlager in a glass mug.
  • Sweeten if desired.
  • Stir, top with hot coffee and whipped cream, and serve.

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
Food Should Taste Good™ multigrain tortilla chips

Steps:

  • In medium bowl, mix beans, corn, green chiles, green onions, lime juice, coriander, cumin and cayenne. Stir in cilantro.
  • Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour to blend flavors. Serve with chips.
