BERRY WONDERFUL BERRY-BANANA VANILLA SOY SMOOTHIE
If you do not like soy milk, you may be surprised that you like this smoothie. You cannot taste the soy at all, and the vanilla flavor adds to the wonderful blend of flavors in this smoothie. This is a VERY thick smoothie, and I use it to substitute meals, esp. breakfast. Adding a powder vitamin mix, such as Citriboost or other powder/liquid vitamins works like magic in this smoothie. I use a packet of Splenda to sweeten this but 1/2 tsp. of sugar works too. I have never tried this with milk, I'm not sure it would come close to the same as mine. (this stores wonderfully in the fridge! I just put the lid on the blender container and toss it in the fridge for tomorrows breakfast!)

HOMEMADE BANANA-BERRY SMOOTHIE
You can make this smoothie year-'round because it contains frozen fruit. The ripeness of the banana is important here: if the banana is more starchy than sweet, your smoothie will taste dull. Blueberries and strawberries are packed with anthocyanadins, the antioxidant compounds that give them their blue and red colors, and they're a very good source of vitamin C, manganese and fiber, both soluble and insoluble. Bananas are also a very good source of vitamin C and manganese, as well as potassium, fiber and vitamin B6. Add the protein and calcium in the milk, and you've got a meal.

BANANA SOY SMOOTHIE
"This a very quick smoothie that is good for breakfast or as a snack. In addition to soy isoflavones, this drink provides a good dose of calcium and potassium, lots of vitamin C, plus four grams of fiber - more than many breakfast cereals." (Recipe and description courtsey of www.drweil.com)

BERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE
Printed this recipe from Better Homes & Gardens site, and it is so good! I chop up any unused banana or ones that are getting too ripe and toss them in the freezer so i have them on hand when i want one of these.Buy a frozen triple berry mix and you are all set! You can use regular orange juice or i have even tried using the Tropicana blends(such as the tropical blend,Peach&Mango etc....) I whip them up for a healthy addition to my little ones breakfasts or snack and they love them! Have also served to brunch/breakfast guests and they have been very well received.
