Time 3h

Yield 8 to 10 servings

Number Of Ingredients 6

One 15.25-ounce box devil's food cake mix (plus required ingredients)
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature, plus 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 cup marshmallow fluff
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon heavy cream
4 ounces semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Prepare a 12-cup Bundt pan according to the cake mix package directions. Bake the Devil's food cake according to the package directions. Let cool completely.
  • Combine the softened butter and marshmallow creme in a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer until smooth and well combined. Add the confectioners' sugar and 1 tablespoon cream and beat until fluffy, about 3 minutes. Put the marshmallow creme mixture into a piping bag fitted with a long thin round tip.
  • Flip the cake so it is flat-side up and make 12 evenly-spaced holes in the bottom of the cake using a skewer, pressing only halfway down into the cake and wiggling the skewer slightly to widen the holes until they are each about 1 inch wide. Insert the piping tip in each of the hollowed-out holes and pipe in some marshmallow mixture until it starts to ooze out the top of the hole, reserving about 1/4 cup frosting for decorating the top of the cake. Flip the cake flat-side down onto a cake stand or serving platter.
  • Put the chocolate chips in a small heatproof bowl. Bring the remaining 1/3 cup cream to a boil in a small saucepan, then pour over the chips. Stir until the chips are melted, then stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Spoon over the cake and let cool until set, about 30 minutes. Pipe connecting loops over the top of the cake with the remaining frosting in the piping bag. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for up to 2 days.

CRèME-FILLED GOLDEN BUNDT CAKE

Crème-Filled Golden Bundt Cake image

This golden bundt cake hides a surprise marshmallow crème filling that will remind you of your favorite snack cake. It's made easy with Betty Crocker™ yellow cake mix, and extra moist with pudding mix added to the batter. It's so impressive that it'll have everyone raving!

Provided by Betty Crocker Kitchens

Categories     Dessert

Time 3h

Yield 16

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ yellow cake mix
1 box (3.4 oz) Jell-O™ vanilla-flavor instant pudding & pie filling mix
1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter, melted
4 eggs
1 cup Kraft Jet Puffed marshmallow creme (from 7-oz jar)
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 to 3 teaspoons milk
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Generously spray 12-cup fluted tube cake pan with baking spray with flour.
  • In large bowl, beat Cake ingredients with electric mixer on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour into pan.
  • Bake 38 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from oven. Let stand 20 minutes; remove from pan to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • In large bowl, beat marshmallow creme, 1/2 cup softened butter, the vanilla and 2 teaspoons milk with spoon until blended. Beat in powdered sugar until fluffy. If necessary, beat in more milk, a few drops at a time, until spreading consistency. Place filling in decorating bag fitted with 1/2-inch round piping tip. Set aside.
  • Carefully place cake top side down on cooling rack. Using melon baller, scoop out 10 1-inch holes about 2 inches deep, evenly spaced in circle around bottom of cake, reserving cut pieces. Pipe generous 2 tablespoons filling to fill each hole, or pipe until filling becomes level with bottom of cake. Place reserved pieces of cake over filling to cover. Place serving platter on bottom of cake, and turn over so cake is right side up.
  • When ready to serve, sprinkle top of cake with 1 tablespoon powdered sugar. Loosely cover and refrigerate any remaining cake.

Provided by Ellie Holland

Yield 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 15

1 ¼ cups hot water
4 earl grey teabags
2 ¾ cups medjool date, pitted
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¾ cup butter, room temperature
¾ cup caster sugar
¾ cup dark brown sugar
3 eggs
2 ¾ cups self-raising flour
1 cup butter
⅔ cup golden caster sugar
¾ cup dark brown sugar
½ cup dark rum
1 ¼ cups double cream

  • In a small bowl, steep the teabags in the hot water for about 5-10 minutes.
  • Let cool and take the teabags out, keeping the water.
  • Pre-heat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a blender, blend the the medjool dates, cinnamon, nutmeg and teabag water to a smooth puree.
  • For the cake, in a large bowl add the butter and both sugars, cream together using a wooden spoon until light and fluffy.
  • Next, beat in the eggs one by one, using a metal spoon.
  • Fold in the flour, followed by the puree.
  • Pour into a thoroughly greased bundt cake tin and smooth out the top.
  • Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.

Provided by Julie Klink

Yield 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 13

24 oz cream cheese, 3 packages
½ cup powdered sugar
½ cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract, divided
35 slices white bread
3 sticks butter, divided
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon salt
¼ cup honey
1 cup pecan
vanilla ice cream, for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 325˚F (165˚C).
  • In a large bowl, add the cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Mix with a whisk or hand mixer until smooth. Set aside until ready to use.
  • On a cutting board, cut the crusts off the bread. Lay out 5 pieces of bread so they are slightly overlapping, then press the overlapping edges together to adhere. Repeat with the rest of the bread, you will have 7 strips of 5 pieces of bread.
  • In a small bowl, melt ¾ cups of butter. Add the granulated sugar and cinnamon and stir to combine.

  • Spread the cream cheese filling on the strip of bread. Repeat with the rest of the strips of bread.
  • Roll up one of the strips of bread, take that roll and roll it on to another strip of bread. Repeat until all of the strips have been rolled up into one large roll.
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, mix together the remaining ¾ cup (170 g) butter, brown sugar, salt, remaining teaspoon vanilla, and honey until melted. Remove from heat.
  • Pour ⅔ of the caramel mixture into an 8-inch (20 cm) round cake pan. Sprinkle the pecans on top of the caramel. Place the bread roll inside the pan on top of the caramel. Pour the rest of the caramel over the top of the roll.

STICKY TOFFEE MINI BUNDT CAKES

Sticky Toffee Mini Bundt Cakes image

A miniature Bundt cake made with love is the perfect small gift for coworkers, teachers, and those overworked delivery people who have spent the month bringing endless packages to your door. Put a single one into tiny colorful cake boxes, or the whole lot into a large one, then tie up with lush ribbons.

Provided by Food Network

Categories     dessert

Time 2h30m

Yield 6 mini cakes

Number Of Ingredients 20

1 1/2 cups pitted dates, chopped
1 yellow banana
1 1/2 sticks butter, melted and cooled slightly
1 cup light brown sugar
2 tablespoons brandy
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 large egg, beaten
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting the pan
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
Nonstick cooking spray
Granulated sugar, for dusting the pan
One 5-ounce can evaporated milk
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/3 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons brandy
Ice water, as needed
2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • For the cakes: Cover the dates with boiling water and allow to rehydrate for 10 minutes, then drain and mash with the banana until smooth. Whisk in the melted butter, brown sugar, brandy, vanilla, salt and egg. Sift in the flour, baking powder and baking soda and stir until just combined.
  • Coat a 6-mini Bundt pan well with cooking spray, then coat with a 50/50 mixture of flour and granulated sugar. Tap the excess out, and divide the batter evenly among the cavities. Place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, then place a wire cookie or roasting rack on top. Bake the cakes until they spring back when lightly touched, approximately 20 minutes. Place the pan on the prepared rack to cool for 5 minutes, then flip the pan upside down on the rack and let sit an additional 5 minutes. Gently lift the pan to release the cakes, then cool completely, about 30 minutes.
  • For the glaze: In a small saucepan, cook the evaporated milk and brown sugar together, stirring occasionally, until it becomes a thick caramel, about 10 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, sift together the powdered sugar and salt, then whisk in the brandy. Add some ice water a teaspoon at a time until you have a glaze the consistency of maple syrup.
  • Whisk the butter and glaze into the caramel until smooth, and allow to rest to thicken slightly, 10 minutes. Carefully dip the tops of the Bundt cakes halfway into the caramel, then place them back on the wire rack so that the glaze can drip down and coat them completely. Allow the glaze to harden, about 15 minutes.
