SAZON PACKET SUBSTITUTE
Eeeek! I ran out of Sazon Packets, now what? This is not the exact recipe, but tastes good and gets the job done. Use alone, or with other seasonings, to flavor meats, vegetables, soups, rice, whatever! Serving size approximate.

SAZON (THE DRY MIX)
Found at Whats4Eats.com. This is a recipe a lot of people have been looking for; I hope it's what everyone wanted. If you can't find annatto, substitute paprika. NOTE: This is a copycat recipe, which is why the amount of salt is so high. If you want the same taste as commercial brands, use it all. If you don't want so much, feel free to adjust it to your taste, or leave it out entirely.

SAZON
This is a copycat version of sazon, which I always use in Puerto Rican dishes. Other versions of this recipe call for only paprika or turmeric. I find adding both achieves the reddish-orange color without affecting flavor. The salt in this recipe can be reduced or omitted as many dishes call for additional salt. I prefer to omit and just add salt as needed to dishes while I'm cooking. I hope you will enjoy it!
