PIZZA TURKEY BURGERS
Seeing this is the season for burgers I though I should submit this recipe put out by the Nova Scotia Turkey Producers. I have not tried it but it does sound tasty and healthy. Hope someone enjoys it. Will be interested to read comments.

Steps:
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Form into 4 -6 patties.
- Grill on med. for 5 - 7 minutes on each side.
- Top with Mozzarella cheese slices.
- sliced black olives and extra pizza sauce.

PIZZA TURKEY BURGERS WITH QUICK MARINARA

Steps:
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
- Add 1/2 cup diced tomatoes to a large mixing bowl and mash with a fork until broken up. Add turkey, Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, basil, egg, salt, and pepper. Gently mix until combined, then form into 4 patties.
- Cook burgers on the preheated grill until cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.
- Meanwhile, combine remaining tomatoes, oil, and Italian seasoning in a small blender or food processor; blend until smooth. Serve on top of cooked burgers.

- In a large bowl, combine the first eight ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into four patties., Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160° and juices run clear. - In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink, 3-5 minutes, breaking into crumbles. Drain. Stir in the pizza sauce, mushrooms, sugar and oregano; mix well. Spoon onto buns; sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. , Place on ungreased baking sheets. - Combine turkey, pepperoni, oregano, garlic powder, onion, eggs, Parmesan, bread crumbs and salt and pepper in a large bowl using your hands. You don't want to over-mix, just make sure everything is well distributed.
- Shape into patties (I like to make them slightly thinner in the middle) and place on a broiler pan. Broil on high for 6 to 7 minutes or until browned, flip burgers over, and continue to cook for about 4 minutes. Add a slice of mozzarella to each patty and broil for an additional 1-2 minutes or until cheese is browned and burgers are cooked through.
- Meanwhile spoon about 1 tablespoon of sauce on each bun (toast them first if you want!). Place burgers on top of sauce and top with fresh basil. Enjoy!
