1 roll pizza dough
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup shredded cheese (any kind)
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon parsley

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Roll out pizza dough and place on a pizza pan or baking sheet.
  • Brush dough with butter and sprinkle with garlic powder.
  • Top with cheeses and parsley.
  • Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden and cheese is melted.
  • Cool 3 minutes before cutting.

These pizza dough bread sticks are beyond easy and quick to create! They make the most delicious appetizer or snack that is sure to become a family favorite.

1 can refrigerated Pillsbury pizza crust
2 tsp everything bagel seasoning
1 egg

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. Open the can of pizza dough and spread it out on a large flat surface in a rectangle shape. 3. Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough in half lengthwise and then into 1" strips. 4. Twist each piece of dough twice to create a spiral design. Place the strips of dough onto the prepared cookie sheet. Tip: press the ends of the dough firmly to the parchment paper lined baking sheet so that they stay in place and don't unwind. 5. In a small bowl, beat the egg with a whisk or fork. Use a pastry brush to wash the top of each breadstick with egg. 6. Sprinkle the egg washed dough with everything bagel seasoning. 7. Bake the pizza dough sticks in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Tip: you may want to broil the sticks on low for a minute or two to crisp and brown the edges. 8. Once baked, pull apart the breadsticks and serve them with your next meal.

2 tubes (11 ounces each) refrigerated breadsticks
1/2 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
2 medium green peppers, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1-1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning, divided
4 teaspoons olive oil, divided
1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
5 ounces Canadian bacon, chopped
1-1/2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
Marinara sauce

Steps:

  • Unroll breadsticks into a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of pan; pinch seams to seal. Bake at 350° until set, 6-8 minutes., Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute the mushrooms, peppers, onion and 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning in 2 teaspoons oil until crisp-tender; drain., Brush crust with remaining oil. Sprinkle with 3/4 cup cheddar cheese; top with vegetable mixture and Canadian bacon. Combine mozzarella cheese and remaining cheddar cheese; sprinkle over top. Sprinkle with remaining Italian seasoning., Bake until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown, 20-25 minutes. Serve with marinara sauce. Freeze option: Bake crust as directed, add toppings and cool. Securely wrap and freeze unbaked pizza. To use, unwrap pizza; bake as directed, increasing time as necessary.

Under orders from the teenagers in the house, I created recipes for their favourite take out breadsticks and dipping sauce. The dough can easily be made up in the bread machine. The sauce has been posted separately as Dipping Sauce - Pizza Hut Style.

1 1/3 cups warm water
3 tablespoons olive oil
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons oregano
3 tablespoons powdered milk
2 teaspoons yeast
2 tablespoons dry parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon oregano
1/4 cup olive oil

Steps:

  • Add the dough ingredients to the bread machine in the order given, and set to first rise.
  • When this has finished, roll the dough out into a rectangle which is 1/2-3/4 inch thick.
  • With a pizza cutter, cut the dough into 1x4 inch strips.
  • Place on greased cookie sheets and allow the bread sticks to rise until doubled.
  • Meanwhile, stir the topping seasonings together with the parmesan cheese.
  • Brush the breadsticks heavily with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle with the topping. I use an empty spice bottle to shake it on evenly.
  • Bake the bread sticks at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes until golden.

¼ cup white sugar, divided
1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
1 cup warm water, divided
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour, or more if needed
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 egg
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup butter, melted
½ teaspoon garlic salt
¼ cup Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Dissolve 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar and yeast in 1/2 cup warm water in a bowl. Let stand until yeast softens and begins to form a creamy foam, about 5 minutes.
  • Beat flour, oil, egg, salt, remaining sugar, and remaining warm water into yeast mixture until smooth, adding more flour if needed to form a soft dough. Turn dough onto a floured work surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 6 to 8 minutes.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl, turning once to cover completely with oil. Cover bowl with a damp towel and place in a warm area until dough is doubled in size, about 40 minutes.
  • Grease a baking sheet.
  • Punch dough down and turn onto a floured work surface. Divide dough into 18 pieces and shape each into a 6-inch rope. Arrange dough pieces on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart; cover with a towel or plastic wrap and let rise until doubled in size, about 25 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Remove cover from dough.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Whisk butter and garlic salt together in a bowl; brush over each breadstick. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over each.
