No this is not a root beer float( some people call the root beer float a black cow -not.) My grandmother used to make these for me when I would visit her in the summertime on vacation! This recipe is from 1949.

Ingredients

2 Tbsp chocolate syrup
1 c coca-cola
1 Tbsp cream
1 scoop(s) chocolate ice cream

Steps:

1. Place syrup in a tall glass. Add coca-cola and cream; stir; add ice cream and serve with a straw.
2. Lavern & Shirley Drink Pour equal amounts of pepsi and milk in a tall glass- stir and drink.
