OLD-FASHIONED CHOCOLATE SODA

Steps:

• For each serving, place 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup in a 16-oz. glass. Stir in 1 tablespoon of whipped cream and 1-1/4 cups water until foamy. Add two scoops of ice cream. Top with additional whipped cream if desired.

HOW TO MAKE AN OLD-FASHIONED CHOCOLATE SODA

Steps:

• Drop one scoop of vanilla ice cream into the bottom of a tall soda-style glass (16 to 20 ounces) glass. Pour 2-3 tablespoons of chocolate syrup on top.
• Use a long-handled spoon to mash and mix the ice cream and chocolate syrup together, until they have become a sort of chocolate ice cream slurry.
• Now comes the tricky part: Using the soda spoon, slowly stir the ice cream-chocolate mixture with one hand, while at the same time very slowly pouring the club soda into the glass with your other hand. Continue adding club soda until the glass is about three-fourths full. (Don't fill it all the way or it will overflow.) Taste the soda to make sure it's chocolaty enough for you. (If not, just stir in a little additional chocolate syrup.)
• Finish it all off by adding a scoop of ice cream to the soda glass, and then mount a second scoop to the rim, sidecar style.Top it off with one last splash of club soda, pop in a straw and enjoy!

OLD TIMEY CHOCOLATE SODA

Steps:

• In four 16-ounce glasses, squirt 1 tablespoon of the chocolate syrup in the bottom of the glasses. Scoop out 2 scoops of ice cream in each and top with another tablespoon of the chocolate syrup. Fill each glass with club soda, and top with whipped cream and a cherry.

CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM SODA

Steps:

• Put about 3 tablespoons of chocolate syrup in the bottom of a 16 ounce glass. Add a scoop of ice cream (about 1/3 c) and mix the two together until chunkily blended. Pour in about 8 ounces of club soda. Add it slowly so it doesn't fizz up over the top of the glass. Be sure to leave room to add a scoop of ice cream (and whipped cream if using) Top it off with another scoop of ice cream. Optionally garnish with whipped cream and a cherry. Serve with both a spoon and a straw.

• Pour 1/2 cup club soda into each of four tall glasses. Add 1/2 cup ice cream to each glass. Fill glasses with soda. Serve immediately.

• In a 12 oz. glass, stir together chocolate syrup and cream.
• Add ice and then fill will chilled club soda; stir.
• Garnish with whipped cream & cherry; serve immediately.

• To one cup of chocolate syrup add the following for:.
• Chocolate Orange: 1 tbl. frozen orange juice concentrate.
• Chocolate Toffee: 1/4 c Heath toffee bits (let stand several hours to develop flavor).
• Mocha: add 1 teaspoons instant coffee granules.
• Chocolate Strawberry: 1 cup Strawberry Syrup.
• Chocolate Hazelnut: 7 tbl. hazelnut flavored syrup.
• (Use 3 tbl of any of the above in place of plain chocolate syrup in your soda).

FANTASTIC OLD FASHIONED ICE CREAM SODA

Steps:

• Pour the milk into one tall 16-ounce glass.
• Stir in syrup.
• Add in ice cream and enough soda water or selzer to fill almost to top of glass.
• Top with whipped cream if desired.
• Serve with a long spoon and a big straw.
