This was one of my Mom's recipes. I have made it numerous times and everyone loves it.

Number Of Ingredients 7

Ingredients

Three small small jars of pure banana baby food
One pkg yellow cake mix
One pkg four oz. instant banana pudding
One tsp vanilla
Three large eggs
One c water
One fourth cup of oil

Steps:

1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl
2. Beat until blended
3. Pour into a greased and floured nine by thirteen pan
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 min.
5. Use your own version of frosting, the original one I posted was just too sweet..
6. When cake is completely cooled add frosting.

This is a pretty easy recipe and it really does not have bananas in it! It does use instant banana pudding mix, though :) This comes out very pretty with a slight banana flavor. Poppy seeds add the "speckle".

Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup hot water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 (3 ounce) box instant banana pudding mix
4 eggs
1/4 cup poppy seed

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix cake mix, water, oil and pudding mix and beat until smooth.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in poppy seed.
Pour into greased and floured bundt or tube pan.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Cool about 20 minutes in pan on rack and then turn out of pan and cool completely on rack.
Dust with confectioners' sugar or drizzle with confectioners' sugar glaze.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8 x 8 baking pan with parchment paper -- otherwise your cake will likely not come out clean.
In a large bowl, stir together the bananas, egg, vanilla, and coconut oil (measured when completely melted). Stir until completely combined.
Add in the cornstarch, baking powder baking soda, cinnamon, and allspice if desired.. Stir until completely combined. (Here's where you can increase or decrease spices to personal preference -- if you are wary of too much spice add a little less and if you LOVE spice increase them.)
Stir in the brown sugar and oat flour (blend regular old fashioned oats or quick oats in a blender or food processor until they resemble flour -- blend well so you don't have any weird oat chunks! Measure AFTER blending and not before).
