NANA'S APPLE CRUMBLE
A family favorite, this apple crumble was originally my grandmother Hazel's recipe which my mom made on a regular basis. She would make two at a time to take to sick or shut-in friends, or to potlucks. There is never any left. Serve warm with French vanilla yogurt.

NANA'S APPLE CRISP
Sometimes the most simple recipes are the best... and that's the case with this apple crisp. Warm, tender apples and a crunchy, buttery, cinnamon sugar crumble, what's not to love? Serve this no oats apple crisp with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and you have the perfect fall dessert.

Steps:
- 1. Heat oven to 350 and butter a baking dish. (For this recipe I stick to the butter but you can use something else to grease pan if you prefer.)
- 2. Put apples in dish and spread out. Sprinkle apples with water.
- 3. Put flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl. Add butter to this with your fingers rubbing till it all resembles a coarse crumby mixture.
- 4. Spread this over the apples in the dish.
- 5. Bake for about 30 minutes. Just until the crust is browned nicely.
