"MY FAV" MARINATED FLANK STEAK



There's nothing better than grilling steak when the weather is warmer and the marinade for this flank steak is excellent. It gives the meat a great smoky flavor and nicely tenderizes the meat. Number Of Ingredients 10

3 Tbsp A-1 or any steak sauce
4 Tbsp Italian dressing or garlic salad dressing
1/4 c BBQ sauce, your favorite
1 Tbsp soy sauce
2-4 Tbsp liquid smoke (I use a lot)
1 dash of tobasco sauce
1 Tbsp onion powder
garlic powder
pepper
2-3 lb beef flank steak

Steps:

  • 1. Add all the ingredients into a gallon resealable bag; mix well. I usually put about 3 Tbsp of each sauce; except the soy and tobasco, about a half palmful of the spices in. If you like you can add about 1/2 cup water to make it thinner.
  • 2. Add the flank steak and marinate in the fridge for at least 4 hours or if you have time overnight. The longer the better.
  • 3. Grill over medium heat for about 7 min per side or to your liking.
  • 4. Let sit 5-10 minutes before cutting.
  • 5. Slice across the grain or it will not be tender.
  • 6. **If you want to slow cook it, just place in a Crock Pot over 4 large peeled carrots, put the marinade in also. Cover with some large sliced onions. Cook on low for 8 hours.

A wonderful flank steak on the grill recipe I invented that friends just love! My girls think this is great, and it doesn't take long to grill. This also works great when sliced and used for fajitas.

½ cup vegetable oil
⅓ cup soy sauce
¼ cup red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 ½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 ½ pounds flank steak

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, mix the oil, soy sauce, vinegar, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic, and ground black pepper. Place meat in a shallow glass dish. Pour marinade over the steak, turning meat to coat thoroughly. Cover, and refrigerate for 6 hours.
  • Preheat grill for medium-high heat.
  • Oil the grill grate. Place steaks on the grill, and discard the marinade. Grill meat for 5 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.

The flank steak marinade creates melt-in-your-mouth tender, juicy steak with complex savory, tangy, sweet and spicy notes. The marinade is made with soy sauce, balsamic, lemon juice, brown sugar and seasonings that infuse the steak with tons of flavor. And the best part of grilled flank steak? It's SO easy with zero clean up! Marinate then grill - that's it! (I've also included oven and stove top instructions.) Flank steak is also extremely versatile and can be served up with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes and fruit salad or in salads, wraps, pasta, sandwiches and more.

1 1/2 -2 pounds flank steak
1/2 cup olive oil
1/3 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 TBS EACH onion powder, garlic powder
1 tsp EACH paprika, pepper, red pepper flakes, dried dill weed
1/2 tsp EACH dried oregano, dried rosemary, ground coriander

Steps:

  • Whisk marinade ingredients together in a freezer size ziploc bag. Reserve 2 tablespoons to use later. Add steak, press out excess air and seal. Massage marinade into the steak with your hands through the outside of the bag.
  • Marinate in the refrigerator at least 2 hours or up to 12 hours.
  • Preheat outdoor grill (or indoor grill pan) to medium-high heat, (450 degrees F when lid is closed).
  • Grill steak for 5-6 minutes per side, or until an internal thermometer reads 130-135 degrees F for medium rare or around 140 degrees for medium. Grill time will vary depending on thickness of your steak and desired level of doneness.
  • Remove the steak to a cutting board and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Slice steak into thin strips against the grain (perpendicular to the long strands) or ½-inch cubes. Drizzle with the 2 tablespoons reserved marinade.

3/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon horseradish

Steps:

  • In a large resealable bag, combine lemon-lime soda, olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic powder, and horseradish. Add steak and turn to coat. Seal and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
  • Drain and discard marinade. Grill steaks, covered, over medium heat for 4-6 minutes on each side.

1/2 cup red wine

1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 shallot, minced

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients except steak in a sealable plastic bag. Place steak in the bag and close, squeezing out as much air as possible.
  • Let set in the refrigerator for 3 hours or up to overnight.
  • Grill to desired doneness and slice thinly on the bias.
