ANY JOHN PEARSE STRING FANS OUT THERE? - TELECASTER GUITAR FORUM
Web Mar 20, 2012 Yes, in terms of string tension, from most to least, it's phosphor, brass or 80/20, then nickel. In terms of core, hex core has more tension than round. For acoustic, I use the nickel plated steel, round core, Daquisto tony rice strings. Less tension, full tone, medium guage but with a .057 E which I love.

Web Apr 12, 2018 Right now I am using a pair of John Pearse Medium 80/20 Bronze strings. The Good: They have been on for a week and they sound really broken in almost like the guitar has aged a few more years. They are the most balanced 80/20 bronze strings i’ve ever tried. They aren’t as bright as most 80/20 but they aren’t as dynamic as pb.
