Italian Hamburger Casserole Recipes
CHEESY ITALIAN HAMBURGER CASSEROLE
This easy casserole will quickly become a family favorite. The combination of spices and pasta makes this a great dish.

- Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and set aside. Brown ground beef, onions and green pepper in skillet on top of the stove and drain if needed. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, sliced mushrooms, garlic powder, Italian seasoning and basil to skillet and heat for about 10 minutes.
- Spread pasta in the bottom of a large casserole dish. Cover with hamburger mixture. Combine softened cream cheese and sour cream by mixing together with a spoon and then spread over top of hamburger in casserole. Sprinkle on cheese. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Makes 6 to 8 servings.

Steps:
- Brown ground beef, then add garlic, salt and spaghetti sauce. Simmer for 30 minutes.
- While that simmers, mix together cream cheese, sour cream and onions.
- In a greased 9X13 inch pan, layer 1/3 sauce, 1/2 noodles, 1/2 cream cheese mixture, 1/2 mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with 1/3 more sauce, remaining noodles, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese and sauce.
- Bake at 350 degrees uncovered for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven, cover and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.

ITALIAN GROUND BEEF CASSEROLE
I found something like this on the allrecipes site, but changed it slightly. The original was billed as a meatloaf, but my version is too soft to call a loaf. Bake it in a casserole dish and scoop it out with a big spoon. Delicious with parmesan sprinkled pierogies or tortellini.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350.
- Combine breadcrumbs and seasonings.
- Add eggs, ketchup and diced tomatoes. Let stand about 5 minutes.
- Add shredded cheese and ground beef. Mix gently.
- Spread in 2 litre casserole dish.
- Cover with tinfoil.
- Bake about 1 hour.
