These savory pork air-fryer sausage patties are quick to prepare on a moment's notice, but you can also mix a couple of batches and have them ready to go in your freezer. Just pop them the air fryer for about 10 minutes and breakfast is ready! -Carole Thomson, Komarno, Manitoba

1 large egg, beaten
1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
1 pound sage bulk pork sausage

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°. In a large bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Crumble sausage over mixture and mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into 6 patties. , Place patties in a single layer in greased air fryer. Cook until meat is no longer pink, 8-10 minutes, turning once.

6 breakfast sausage patties, raw

Steps:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Once preheated, add the sausage patties into the air fryer tray. Make sure they fit in one even layer without overlap - this will help them cook evenly.
  • Cook the sausage patties for 8-11 minutes total until fully cooked and slightly browned on the outside. Flip the patties halfway through cooking time. The internal temperature of the meat should be 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Since every air fryer cooks slightly differently, your exact cooking time can vary.
  • When the sausage patties are done, remove them from the air fryer and place them on a plate lined with a paper towel to absorb some of the grease. Enjoy!

Steps:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Place sausage patties into the basket in 1 layer, working in batches if necessary.
  • Cook in the preheated air fryer for 5 minutes. Pull the basket out, turn sausage over, and cook until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of a patty reads 160 degrees F (70 degrees C), about 3 minutes more.

Steps:

  • Pierce the sausages a few times all over using a sharp knife (this is optional, but will help release more fat). Arrange the sausages in a single layer in an air fryer basket.
  • Set the air fryer to 180C and cook for 10-15 mins, turning every 5 mins, until the sausages are cooked through. If you have a meat thermometer, check they have reached 75C in the middle. Serve as a side for breakfast or in buns.
