1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Steps:

  • DIRECTIONS Prepare grill or broiler. For barbecue sauce, combine brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and mustard; mix well. Brush 2 tablespoons of sauce over one side of each ham slice. Grill (sauce sides up) over medium coals or broil 4 to 5 inches from heat source for 4 minutes. Turn; brush 2 tablespoons sauce over each ham slice. Continue grilling or broiling 4 minutes or until ham is hot. Serve with remaining sauce.

1/4 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/2 cup tomato ketchup
1/3 cup water
2 tablespoons light or dark brown sugar , packed
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 fully cooked ham slice (about 1-inch thick)

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  • Line a rimmed baking pan with foil. Spray lightly with nonstick cooking spray. Place the ham in the prepared baking pan.
  • In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter; add the chopped onion . Sauté the onion until translucent. Add the ketchup, water, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir to blend and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes, or until hot.
  • Pour the sauce over the ham.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

1 ham steak, 1/2 inch thick (1 pound)
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon apricot preserves

Steps:

  • Cut outer edge of fat on ham diagonally at 1-inch intervals to prevent curling (do not cut into ham). Mix mustard, honey and preserves.
  • Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat. Grill ham uncovered 4 to 6 inches from medium-high heat 4 minutes. Turn ham; brush with mustard mixture. Grill 4 minutes longer. Turn ham again; brush with remaining mustard mixture. Grill about 2 minutes longer or until heated through.

1 granny smith apple, peeled, cored, finely diced
1/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/4 cup apple cider
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Remove rind and trim off all but 1/4-inch of outer fat. Cut ham into two serving pieces. Score the fat edge at 1-inch intervals so the steak does not curl during cooking.
  • Lightly saute, ham on both sides in butter for 3-4 minutes a side. Remove ham steak to a plate and keep warm.
  • Add diced apples and saute until somewhat soft. Stir in mustard and cider and reduce until the cider has almost entirely evaporated.
  • Slowly wisk in the heavy cream and reduce until slightly thickened. Season to taste with salt and pepper and spoon sauce over steak.

2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, saute onion and pepper in butter until crisp tender. Remove from pan and set aside.
