BEEF CHOP SUEY
This is my mom's chop suey recipe and is one of my favorite meals. Great for a Sunday family dinner.

Steps:
- Heat oil in large pot over high heat.
- Brown beef stew meat mixing in cut up onions and celery.
- Add water, soy sauce and beaded molasses.
- Simmer for 3 hours.
- Add bean sprouts and water chestnuts.
- Mix cornstarch and water and add to chop suey, heat until thickens.
- Serve over rice.

Steps:
- Cook celery, onion and ground beef about 5 minutes until meat begins to brown.
- Blend cornstarch with water and stir into beef mixture.
- Add bouillon cube, soy sauce and salt.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened and clear.
- Stir in bean sprouts or cabbage.
- Cook covered about 3 minutes until cabbage is tender if cabbage is used.
- If bean sprouts are used, heat thoroughly.
- Serve over rice.

Steps:
- Brown the ground beef with onions and celery; add the rest of the ingredients (except the bean sprouts) and stir together well.
- Butter or grease casserole dish.
- Place the ingredients in the casserole dish.
- Bake at 325° for 1-1/2 hours.
- Sprinkle with bean sprouts and serve.

Great dish for a cold day ... one of my Mom's favorite recipes for an easy and filling meal. I like to sprinkle a little extra soy sauce on top.

- Preheat oven to 350.
- In large bowl, combine beef, soup, milk, beans, water chestnuts, celery, soy sauce and 2/3 cup French Fried Onions.
- Spoon beef mixture into 1-1/2-quart casserole.
- Bake, covered, at 350 for 30 minutes or until heated through.
- Arrange tomato wedges around edge of casserole and top with remaining 2/3 cup onions.
- Bake, uncovered, 5 minutes or until onions are golden brown.

Steps:
- In a large skillet brown beef and onion stirring occasionally until crumbly.
- Drain off fat.
- Put beef and onion into crock pot.
- Stir in rice mix including dry seasoning packet, water and 4 TBS of soy sauce.
- Cover and cook on high setting 2 hours.
- Stir in vegetables and mushrooms.
- cover and continue cooking on high about 30 minutes longer or until rice is tender and vegetables are crisp tender.
- Stir in remaining 1 TBS soy sauce and serve at once.
- Note: For more pronounce Asian flavor, stir in another tablespoon soy sauce before serving.
