BEEF CHOP SUEY

Steps:

• Heat oil in large pot over high heat.
• Brown beef stew meat mixing in cut up onions and celery.
• Add water, soy sauce and beaded molasses.
• Simmer for 3 hours.
• Add bean sprouts and water chestnuts.
• Mix cornstarch and water and add to chop suey, heat until thickens.
• Serve over rice.

GROUND BEEF CHOP SUEY

Steps:

• Cook celery, onion and ground beef about 5 minutes until meat begins to brown.
• Blend cornstarch with water and stir into beef mixture.
• Add bouillon cube, soy sauce and salt.
• Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened and clear.
• Stir in bean sprouts or cabbage.
• Cook covered about 3 minutes until cabbage is tender if cabbage is used.
• If bean sprouts are used, heat thoroughly.
• Serve over rice.

GROUND BEEF CHOP SUEY DINNER CASSEROLE

Steps:

• Brown the ground beef with onions and celery; add the rest of the ingredients (except the bean sprouts) and stir together well.
• Butter or grease casserole dish.
• Place the ingredients in the casserole dish.
• Bake at 325° for 1-1/2 hours.
• Sprinkle with bean sprouts and serve.

MOM'S CHOP SUEY CASSEROLE

Steps:

• Mix ingredients except chow mein noodles and bake in 2-quart casserole for one hour at 350deg. Add noodles and bake for an additional 15 minute.

ROAST BEEF CHOP SUEY CASSEROLE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350.
• In large bowl, combine beef, soup, milk, beans, water chestnuts, celery, soy sauce and 2/3 cup French Fried Onions.
• Spoon beef mixture into 1-1/2-quart casserole.
• Bake, covered, at 350 for 30 minutes or until heated through.
• Arrange tomato wedges around edge of casserole and top with remaining 2/3 cup onions.
• Bake, uncovered, 5 minutes or until onions are golden brown.

CHOP SUEY GROUND BEEF SUPPER (CROCK POT)

Steps:

• In a large skillet brown beef and onion stirring occasionally until crumbly.
• Drain off fat.
• Put beef and onion into crock pot.
• Stir in rice mix including dry seasoning packet, water and 4 TBS of soy sauce.
• Cover and cook on high setting 2 hours.
• Stir in vegetables and mushrooms.
• cover and continue cooking on high about 30 minutes longer or until rice is tender and vegetables are crisp tender.
• Stir in remaining 1 TBS soy sauce and serve at once.
• Note: For more pronounce Asian flavor, stir in another tablespoon soy sauce before serving.
