1 ½ cups confectioners' sugar
1 cup peanut butter
6 tablespoons butter, melted
¼ cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Combine confectioners' sugar, peanut butter, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Mix with a wooden spoon until well-combined and smooth, 2 to 3 minutes.

One of my family's favorite dessert is a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. I am always asked the recipe, so thought I should post it. This recipe makes about 3 1/2 to 4 cups of fluffy, delicious, peanut butter frosting that your family is sure to enjoy, too !

1 1/2 lb powdered sugar
2 stick unsalted butter, softened (1cup)
1 c creamy peanut butter
4-6 Tbsp milk or cream
2 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  • 1. Put softened butter in large bowl and beat with mixer till creamy, then add peanut butter and vanilla extract and mix well.
  • 2. On low speed, add in powdered sugar 1/2 cup at a time, mixing well in between additions. As it starts to thicken, you can add the milk. Mix till light and fluffy. If it is too thick for your liking just add more milk, a little at a time. * Makes approx. 3-4 cups icing

1/2 c butter, softened
1 c creamy peanut butter (skippy preferred)
3 Tbsp milk, or as needed
2 c confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Place the butter and peanut butter into a medium bowl, beat with an electric mixer. Gradually mix in the sugar and when it starts to get thick, incorporate milk one tablespoon at a time until all of the sugar is mixed in and the frosting is thick and spreadable. Beat for at least 3 minutes for it to get good and fluffy.

This frosting is amazing, especially with chocolate cupcakes! Creamy, smooth and fluffy. I recommend you do not use margarine, as it makes it a little greasy. Make sure your butter is softened, not melted, and not just at room temp. Leave it out for an hour or so before using. Works well for piping. If you are piping, or like lots of frosting, this will frost about 18 cupcakes. If you spread it on, you might get 24. Enjoy! From Allrecipes.

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup creamy peanut butter
3 cups confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons milk, as needed

Steps:

  • Cream together butter and peanut butter until well blended and you can't see any of the butter anymore.
  • Add sugar, one cup at a time, mixing until well blended.
  • Add vanilla.
  • Begin adding milk, a little at a time until it reaches the consistency you want. I usually don't measure, but I think I use all 3 tablespoons.
  • Whip on high until fluffy and pale in color.
