The steak in this Crockpot Steak and Gravy always comes out tender and flavorful. It is so easy to make with only 3 ingredients!

2 to 3 pounds top sirloin steak or London broil (sliced thin)
2 packets brown gravy mix
1 packet Au Jus mix
2 1/2 cups water

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients in crockpot.
  • Cook all day (8-10 hrs) on low, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.

This crock pot minute steak is super tender and delicious, it makes a great family dinner that takes little effort!

6 minute steaks
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup flour (all-purpose)
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 package onion soup mix
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups beef bone broth

Steps:

  • Heat up cast iron skillet and add a little of the butter and olive oil (about 1 tablespoon each) to the skillet. Add more butter and oil as needed when browning the steaks.
  • Meanwhile, mix up the flour, sea salt, and paprika in a deep dish or pie pan. Coat the steaks in the flour mixture.
  • Brown the steaks for a couple of minutes on each side and then add them to the crock pot.
  • Add the garlic powder, onion soup mix, and bone broth to the top of the steaks. Set the slow cooker to low for 8 hours, or high for about 5-6 hours.
  • Serve with your favorite sides, like mashed potatoes, steamed veggies and side salad for a complete meal!

This recipe cooks up quick, it's easy and my family loved it so much there were no leftovers and they were asking when we would have it again. I make the meat and gravy in the crockpot. You could add potatoes if you were so inclined.

6 cube steaks or 6 minute steaks
1 tablespoon better than boullion beef base
mushroom (optional)
onion (optional)
browning sauce (optional)
2 cups water
3 tablespoons flour

Steps:

  • PLEASE DO NOT SALT THIS RECIPE! THERE IS ENOUGH SALT IN THE BETTER THAN BOULLION BEEF BASE THAT I DOUBT YOU WILL NEED IT!
  • Add your steak to your crockpot (I have an oval large crockpot).
  • Add 1 T. Better Than Boullion Beef Base to measuring cup with two cups of water and microwave for about 1 1/2 minutes, stir and add to the crockpot.
  • Add optional items to your preference.
  • Cook this on high for about 3 hours if you are in a hurry or about 4 hours on low. Circulate the meat at least once through the cooking process to make sure none of your meat is stuck together and all is cooking evenly.
  • Gravy:.
  • I use an old jelly jar with a lid but you can use whatever you have on hand even if you don't have a jar with a lid, just mix it with a spoon to make sure it is lump free ----.
  • Add about 3 T. flour to about a cup of water or so (I fill my jelly jar about 3/4 of the way up with water). You do not want to over dilute because this is your thickening agent for your gravy! Mix well or shake your jar to make sure all the flour is well mixed and no lumps. I add hot water because it seems to help it mix and minimize any lumps.
  • Add about half of your mixture to your liquid and gently stir. This will thicken fairly quickly. If it is not thick enough, continue adding small amounts of your remaining water/flour mix until you have the desired thickness.
  • Add a drop of browning sauce, stir and serve!
  • If your gravy is too thick add small amounts of water and stir to get it the right consistency. If it is runny, your thickener was too thin, make more thickener with less water than the first time and more flour, add in small increments until desired consistency.
  • I would not cook this cut of meat more than 4 hours in the crock or it will be falling apart and in pieces.

2 lb cube steak
2 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
2 c beef broth
2 pkg dry onion soup mix
salt and pepper
extras you could add...mushrooms, garlic, seasonings , small potatoes, carrots, etc

Steps:

  • 1. In a medium bowl, mix together the soup, beef broth and onion soup mix. Stir until smooth. Note: This recipe renders quite a bit of liquid...you can easily halve the broth, soup mix, and soup. I make as is, as I use the broth for noodles the next day.
  • 2. Place half of the soup mixture into the bottom of a slow cooker. Top with cube steak, salt & pepper if desired.
  • 3. Pour remaining soup over top of steaks. Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 - 5. To thicken the gravy, you could combine 1/4 cup cold water with 2 Tablespoons cornstarch. Add to the sauce the last 1/2 hour of cooking.
  • 4. Can serve with noodles, potatoes etc... Delish!
