CHRISTMAS CRISPIX® MIX
This is an excellent treat that is great to have on hand around Christmas.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Lightly butter a large roasting pan.
- Mix corn and rice cereal, pecans, and almonds together in the prepared roasting pan.
- Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Heat to 240 degrees F (115 degrees C) or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms a soft ball that flattens when removed from the water and placed on a flat surface. Remove saucepan from heat and stir vanilla extract into syrup.
- Drizzle syrup over cereal mixture and toss to coat.
- Bake cereal mixture in the preheated oven for 30 minutes; stir and continue baking for 30 minutes more. Spread cereal mixture in 1 layer onto 2 lightly buttered baking sheets, separating any large chunks with 2 forks; allow to cool.

KELLOGG'S ORIGINAL CRISPIX MIX RECIPE
This is the recipe that I found inside the box of Crispix Cereal. The ingredients appear to be slightly different from the other posted recipes. NOTES: Dry roasted mixed nuts can be used in place of regular mixed nuts. Reduced calorie margarine can be substituted for regular margarine. Steps:
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
- Combine Kellogg's Crispix cereal, nuts and pretzels in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Set aside.
- Stir together the remaining ingredients. Pour over cereal mixture. Stir until evenly coated.
- Bake for about 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool.
- Store in airtight container.
CRISPIX SNACK MIX
This is similar to the Chex mix but I actually like it a little better. The original recipe calls for garlic and onion salt instead of powder and salted nuts, but I find that too salty.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 250°F.
- Melt butter in 9x13-inch pan in oven. Remove from oven and stir in garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Add cereal, nuts, and pretzels stirring until coated.
- Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on absorbent paper to cool.
- Microwave directions combine ingredients as above, placing in a glass container and microwave on full power 4 minutes stirring after 2 minute
- Cool as above.
CRISPIX MIX ORIGINAL WITH CHEEZ-IT ORIGINAL SNACK CRACKERS

- 1. Combine KELLOGG'S CRISPIX cereal and SUNSHINE CHEEZ-IT crackers in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Set aside.2. Stir together remaining ingredients. Pour over cereal mixture. Stir until evenly coated.3. Bake at 250° F for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Store in airtight container. MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:1. In large microwave safe glass mixing bowl, combine KELLOGG'S CRISPIX cereal and SUNSHINE CHEEZ-IT crackers. Set aside.2. Stir together remaining ingredients. Pour over cereal mixture. Stir until evenly coated.3. Microwave at HIGH 4 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Store in airtight container.Microwave cooking times may vary.

Steps:
- Bring butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup to a boil.
- Boil 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add baking soda (it will foam).
- Put the cereal in a large bowl and pour the boiled mixture over the cereal and stir to coat.
- Bake 1 hour at 200-250F degrees.
- Stir every 15 minutes.
- You may add nuts if you desire.
