CRESCENT SAUSAGE 'N CHEESE BAKE

Crescent Sausage 'N Cheese Bake image

This recipe came to me from a potluck at my school. Our librarian Lillian brought this dish. It was wonderful. She copied the page this recipe came from a magazine in 1975. HA ha ...I had do laugh...the page say's, "It's under .60 cents a serving." Thankfully you can still get the ingredients and, yes, Swift still makes...

I have experimented with many breakfast casseroles, the cream cheese adds extra flavor, and in my opinion, a must!

Provided by Betty Thompson Randolph

Time 1h

Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 11

nonstick cooking spray
1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
1 pound bulk pork sausage
½ cup chopped red bell pepper
¼ cup chopped onion
¼ cup chopped green onions
½ cup cream cheese
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
6 large eggs
¾ cup low-fat milk

I made these using honey Dijon mustard. This will make 16 crescent sausage appetizers, I most always double the complete recipe to 32 if I am serving these to a crowd.
