Steps:
- Bring a pot of water to a boil; add ramen noodles. Boil, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender, about 3 minutes. Drain. Allow noodles to cool slightly.
- Beat 2 eggs in a bowl; season with salt and pepper. Stir noodles into eggs until evenly coated. Divide noodles into 6 burger-size ramekins or bowls. Place a sheet of plastic wrap directly over noodles and stack another bowl on top to flatten noodles. Refrigerate until firm, about 20 minutes.
- Mix beef, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl. Divide beef mixture into three equal portions and shape into patties.
- Heat about 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Invert each ramen bowl, gently tapping the bottom of the bowl until ramen loosens, careful to maintain bun shape.
- Fry each ramen bun, without moving noodles, in hot oil until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Flip each bun and continue frying until crisp, 3 to 5 minutes more. Ramen bun should be crispy on one side and slightly softer on the other. Transfer buns to large plate with the crispy side up.
- Heat about 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in the same skillet used to fry ramen over medium heat. Cook beef patties until burgers are lightly pink in the center, 3 to 5 minute per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 140 degrees F (60 degrees C). Arrange a slice of American cheese over each burger and continue to cook until melted, about 1 minute more.
- Mix ketchup and chile-garlic sauce in a small bowl; spread mixture over the crispy side of each ramen bun. Divide arugula over 3 ramen buns. Place burgers over arugula.
- Heat about 1 teaspoon oil in a small skillet over medium-high heat; fry remaining eggs one at a time, adding more oil as needed, until yolk is almost firm, about 1 minutes per side. Place egg over patty and top with remaining bun.

AIR-FRYER BURGERS
Yet another use for gochujang (Korean red chile paste), which is among my favorite seasonings, in this Korean-inspired dish, which is one of all-time favorite cuisines. But most important, this is yet another way to make burgers that your whole family will enjoy. Serve them with hamburger buns or, for a change, serve with large lettuce leaves for a combination of hot and cold and crunchy that's to die for.

Steps:
- For the burgers: In a large bowl, mix the scallions, gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger and salt. Use your hands to add in the ground beef and sugar. Divide the meat into four portions and form them into round patties. Marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes, or cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
- Place the patties in a single layer in the air-fryer basket (see Cook's Note). Set the air fryer to 350 degrees F for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, for the gochujang mayonnaise: Stir together the mayonnaise, scallions, gochujang, sesame oil and sesame seeds.
- At the end of the cooking time, use a meat thermometer to ensure the burgers have reached an internal temperature of at least 160 degrees F (well-done).
- To serve, place the burgers on the buns and top with the mayonnaise.
AIR FRYER RAMEN BUN BURGER FOR ONE
I ate a lot of instant ramen noodles as a kid and still enjoy them now on occasion. As an adult, I started experimenting with them to try different ways of eating them other than the package directions. This one isn't the most feasible but it was a lot of fun to make. The bun is seasoned and crunchy so it's like you get the burger, bun, and chips in every bite. I like to top mine with Sriracha mayo, red onions, and baby spinach but feel free to use your favorite toppings.

Steps:
- Pour water into a large saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Drop noodles in and boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit for 2 minutes. Drain.
- Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Meanwhile, whisk egg and 1/2 of the reserved seasoning packet together in a bowl. Gently stir in noodles until they are evenly coated. Divide noodles into 2 small round containers, which helps make more uniform buns.
- Spray the basket of the air fryer with nonstick spray. Dump one portion of noodles into the basket. Flatten the noodle mixture with a spatula to form the bun. Cook for 4 minutes. Flip the bun over using a spatula and cook until desired brownness, about 4 minutes more. Transfer to a plate and repeat with remaining noodles.
- Sprinkle remaining seasoning over the beef and form into a patty. Air fry for 4 minutes. Flip and cook for 4 minutes more. Sandwich the patty between the ramen buns.
