Time 29m

Number Of Ingredients 6

¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar
3 teaspoons apple pie spice
1 can (8-count) Pillsbury Grand biscuits, (not flaky layers)
1 cup (243 g) apple pie filling, (with apples cut into small pieces)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) butter, (melted)

Steps:

  • In a medium-size bowl, mix the sugar and apple pie spice. Set aside.
  • Remove the biscuits from the can and use your hand to peel and separate each into two layers. Using a rolling pin, roll each layer of biscuit into a 4-inch circle. (You will have 16 circles.)
  • In a small bowl, combine the apple pie filling with cinnamon. Mix to combine.
  • Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the apple pie filling and cinnamon mixture into the center of each circle.
  • Use your fingers to pull sides together and pinch to seal. Roll into balls.
  • Spray the basket of an air fryer with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Working in batches, place the balls into an air fryer basket about 2 inches apart. Spray the tops with cooking spray.
  • Air fry at 350°F for 8-9 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Carefully remove the balls from the air fryer, dipping each in melted butter.
  • Roll each dipped apple pie bomb into the apple pie spice and sugar mixture. Repeat with the remaining batches.
  • Serve immediately or at room temperature.

These delicious Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs are incredibly simple to make using refrigerated biscuits filled with apple pie filling, cooked in the air fryer then coated in butter and cinnamon sugar.

Categories     Dessert     Pies

Time 32m

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 cans Pillsbury Country biscuits ((10 pieces in can) or 1 can of Grands)
1 cup apple pie filling (roughly chopped)
½ cup butter (melted)
¾ cup sugar (granulated)
2 teaspoon cinnamon

Steps:

  • Prep the dough: Separate the biscuits form the can and roll each one into a 4 inch circle using a rolling pin. If using grand biscuits, pull each one into 2 layers.
  • Prep the bombs: Spoon 1 tbsp of apple pie filling into each dough circle then pull the sides together over the filling, pinching to seal. Gently roll into a ball. Place the apple pie bombs into the basket of your air fryer about 1 inch apart. You'll need to do this in batches.
  • Bake 'em: Close your air fryer oven door and set the temperature to 380°F. Bake until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes.
  • Prep the topping: While the first batch bakes, combine the sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
  • Continue baking: Carefully transfer the cooked apple pie bombs to a cooling rack and repeat baking with remaining pies.
  • Roll through butter and cinnamon sugar: While the pies are still hot, dip them in the melted butter so that they're fully coated, then roll them into the cinnamon sugar. Place them back on the cooling rack and repeat with remaining bombs.
  • Serve: Serve them by themselves or with a scoop of ice cream.
