Perfectly crisp hot dogs and pizza toppings are combined in this kid-friendly recipe. They are made in an air fryer from start to finish and ready in no time.

2 hot dogs
4 slices pepperoni, halved
½ cup pizza sauce
2 hot dog buns
¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 teaspoons sliced olives

Steps:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 390 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Make 4 slits down each hot dog. Place hot dogs in the air fryer basket and cook for 3 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board using tongs.
  • Place a pepperoni half in each slit of the hot dogs. Divide pizza sauce between buns and fill with the hot dogs, mozzarella cheese, and olives.
  • Return hot dogs to the air fryer basket and cook until buns are crisp and cheese is melted, about 2 minutes.

These air-fried vegan tacos taste just like the ones mom used to make. The difference is these are air fried and vegan, making them much healthier. To keep them vegan, we serve them with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, Mexican hot tomato sauce (such as El Pato®) and vegan Cheddar shreds (such as Follow Your Heart®).

1 large russet potato, peeled
1 teaspoon plant-based butter (such as Country Crock®)
2 tablespoons diced onion
1 clove garlic, minced
¼ cup plant-based butter (such as Country Crock®)
2 tablespoons unsweetened plain almond milk
salt and ground black pepper to taste
6 (6 inch) corn tortillas
avocado oil cooking spray

Steps:

  • Place potato into a saucepan and cover with salted water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes.
  • While potato is boiling, melt 1 teaspoon plant-based butter in a skillet and saute onion until soft and translucent, 3 to 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Set aside.
  • Drain potato and transfer to a bowl. Add 1/4 cup plant-based butter and almond milk, season with salt and pepper, and mash. Mix in onion and garlic until well combined.
  • Heat tortillas in a skillet or directly on the grates of a gas stove until soft and pliable. Place 3 tablespoons of potato mixture down one side of each tortilla; fold over.
  • Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Place tacos in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching, and mist with avocado oil. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry until tacos are golden brown and crispy, 9 to 10 minutes. Turn tacos over, mist with avocado oil, and air fry for 4 to 5 minutes more.

1/4 cup minced fresh cilantro
1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 teaspoon honey
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground chipotle pepper
1/4 teaspoon pepper
TACOS:
1 large egg, beaten
1/4 cup cornmeal
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground chipotle pepper
2 medium avocados, peeled and sliced
Cooking spray
8 flour tortillas or corn tortillas (6 inches)
1 medium tomato, chopped
Crumbled queso fresco, optional

Steps:

  • Combine the first 8 ingredients in a bowl. Refrigerate, covered, until serving., Preheat air fryer to 400°. Place egg in a shallow bowl. In another shallow bowl, mix cornmeal, salt, garlic powder and chipotle pepper. Dip avocado slices in egg, then into cornmeal mixture, gently patting to help adhere., In batches, place avocado slices in a single layer on greased tray in air-fryer basket; spritz with cooking spray. Cook until golden brown, 4 minutes. Turn; spritz with cooking spray. Cook until golden brown, 3-4 minutes longer. Serve avocado slices in tortillas with kale mix, tomato, additional minced cilantro and, if desired, queso fresco.

4 cups cabbage slaw mix
1 tablespoon chopped fresh jalapeno pepper
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
¼ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup yellow cornmeal
2 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
1 pound cod fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces
8 (6 inch) corn tortillas

Steps:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Spray the basket of the air fryer with cooking spray.
  • Combine cabbage slaw, jalapeno pepper, lime juice, olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper in a large bowl. Mix until evenly combined and set aside.
  • Mix together flour, cornmeal, and taco seasoning in a separate bowl. Add fish pieces and toss until evenly coated, discarding any remaining seasoning mix. Place in the prepared air fryer basket and mist lightly with cooking spray.
  • Cook fish in the preheated air fryer for 5 minutes. Shake the basket, and cook until fish is crispy and flakes easily with a fork, about 5 minutes more. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Place cabbage slaw mixture into the air fryer basket.
  • Cook until cabbage is caramelized, about 8 minutes, stirring halfway through the cooking time.
  • Spoon cabbage onto tortillas and top with fish.
