Steps:
- Stack cake dummies (found in cake decorating stores or at www.cookscakeandcandy.com-search "Styrofoam dummy rounds"). Cut Styrofoam cone to about 4 in. high; glue on top of small cake dummy. Glue remaining cake dummies together. Wrap the form in cheesecloth dyed with food coloring., Attach kale leaves with toothpicks. Add veggie trims., For daikon radish garland, use a vegetable peeler to create long, thin ribbons from radishes. Drape around the tree, going under some trims and over others, and tucking in the ends to hide., For ornaments, cut turnips into 1/4-in.-thick rounds. Use cookie cutters to make ornaments; attach with toothpicks., Make a tree topper of interlinked pepper rings.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Removed the dough from the can without unrolling. Cut each can into sixteen slices (8 from each roll).
- Place the slices on a lightly greased cookie sheet to form a tree. One slice at the top, two slices in the next row, three in the next, then four slices, and five slices for the last row. There will be one remaining slice that can be used for the trunk. After you have formed the tree, lightly roll out to flatten a little bit. I didn't do this and the crescent was a little too thick after it was baked.
- If you are making two trees, refrigerate the other tree while the first one bakes. Baked for 11-13 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool for 1-2 minutes and then carefully loosen from the sheet and move to a cooling rack. Bake the second tree.
- Move the cooled tree to your serving platter prior to decorating.
- Combine the sour cream, cream cheese, dill, and garlic. Mix until smooth. Spread the mixture over both trees and decorate with veggies.

VEGGIE CHRISTMAS TREE APPETIZER TRAY
Another take on the broccoli Christmas tree. This doesn't require a conical base but does require a tree-shaped pan. I used the Wilton Christmas Tree cake pan.

Steps:
- Fill a Christmas tree shaped tray or pan with broccoli florets. The broccoli should be cut to the depth of the pan. Once the pan is full, prop the broccoli up to make it appear that the "tree" is lush and green.
- Insert baby carrots into the broccoli so that just the tips show. These are the ornaments on the tree.
- Insert cherry tomatoes for more "ornaments".
- Place a small bowl (star-shaped?) at the top of the pan filled with Ranch dressing.
