APPLE PIE HOT TODDY

Steps:

• In a saucepan, combine the apple cider, vinegar, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon sticks, star anise and ginger. Heat over medium heat until the flavors come together, about 10 minutes.
• Divide the mixture among 4 heatproof mugs and top each with a shot of bourbon and a squirt or dollop of whipped cream. Sprinkle over ground cinnamon and serve.

HOT TODDY

Steps:

• Pour the honey, boiling water, and whiskey into a mug. Spice it with the cloves and cinnamon, and put in the slice of lemon. Let the mixture stand for 5 minutes so the flavors can mingle, then sprinkle with a pinch of nutmeg before serving.

TIFFANI'S HOT TODDY

Steps:

• In a mug add the bourbon, honey and lemon juice. Slowly pour 1/3 cup hot water over the mixture while stirring to dissolve the honey. Garnish with a few dried lavender buds and the lemon peel.

HOT TEA TODDY

Steps:

• In a coffee mug, place the tea bag, Scotch, and honey. Add enough boiling water (about 3/4 cup) to fill the mug. Add the cinnamon and lemon, and steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bag and cinnamon stick.
• Sprinkle lightly with the nutmeg and serve.

HOT WHISKEY TODDY

Steps:

• Put honey or sugar into a mug. Fill 2/3 full with boiling water.
• Add Scotch whisky and stir.
• Garnish with a slice of lemon, dust with nutmeg, and serve.
• Use honey or sugar. You can add a few cloves or some cinnamon.

MODERN HOT TODDY

Steps:

• Bring a kettle of water to a boil. Fill a 6-ounce heatproof mug or glass with boiling water and set aside, 1 minute.
• Pour out the water, then add a tea bag or strainer and sugar to the warmed glass. Top with 4 ounces boiling water.
• As the tea steeps, set another small heatproof mug or glass in a small saucepan or baking dish. Pour more boiling water around it, so the water comes halfway up the sides. Add the rum and amaro to the mug, and allow to sit and warm through.
• Once the tea has steeped for 3 to 5 minutes, remove the tea bag or strainer, add the now-warmed rum and amaro mixture, stirring to ensure the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the lemon juice and finish with a lemon slice. Serve immediately.
