TERIYAKI STEAK ROLL-UPS RECIPE BY TASTY

Here's what you need: flank steak, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey, lime, sriracha sauce, bell pepper, carrot, zucchini, asparagus, red onion, sesame seed, toothpick

1 lb flank steak, or skirt steak
½ cup soy sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, grated
2 tablespoons honey
1 lime, juiced
1 teaspoon sriracha sauce, optional
1 bell pepper, cut into matchsticks
1 carrot, cut into matchsticks
½ zucchini, cut into matchsticks
16 stalks asparagus, halved
1 red onion, sliced
sesame seed, for serving, to taste
toothpick, to skewer

Steps:

  • In a baking dish with the steak, mix the soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey, lime juice, and Sriracha sauce (optional).
  • Lightly massage the marinade into the steak and cover. Refrigerate 1-4 hours.
  • Place toothpicks in a bowl and pour water over toothpicks until completely submerged. Water will prevent toothpicks from burning.
  • Once marinated, cut the steak into 8 equal rectangles. You may need to pound the steak thinner if using a thicker cut.
  • Place a few slices of each of the vegetables on a slice of steak, making sure they are all about the same length.
  • Roll the steak up over the vegetables and secure it with a toothpick.
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, pour in the leftover marinade and bring to a boil.
  • Boil for about one minute, take off the heat, and set aside to use as a glaze.
  • In a grill pan or on the grill over medium high heat, place your steak roll-ups and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Flip the roll over and use a heat-safe brush to brush the glaze on each roll.
  • Cook for about one minute longer and remove from heat. Top with sesame seeds.
  • Enjoy!

2 tablespoons teriyaki baste and glaze (from 12-oz bottle)
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon hot water
1 teaspoon sesame or canola oil
4 Old El Paso™ flour tortillas for burritos (8 inch; from 11-oz package)
8 slices (1 oz each) deli cooked chicken breast
1 1/2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
1 1/2 cups shredded carrots
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Steps:

  • In small bowl, beat peanut butter, teriyaki baste and glaze, brown sugar, water and oil with wire whisk until smooth.
  • Spread about 1 1/2 tablespoons peanut butter mixture over each tortilla. Top each with 2 slices chicken, about 1/3 cup lettuce, about 1/3 cup carrots and 2 tablespoons cilantro. Roll up tortillas.

4 cups sushi rice
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts in teriyaki sauce, cooked
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
1 sheet nori

Steps:

  • Cut teriyaki chicken into small chunks. Put a nori sheet on top of a bamboo mat (makisu). Spread sushi rice on top of the nori sheet.
  • Place the chickent chunks lengthwise on the rice. Put a little bit of teriyaki sauce on top of the chicken.
  • Roll up the bamboo mat, pressing forward to shape the sushi into a cylinder. Press the bamboo mat firmly and remove it from the sushi.
  • Cut the rolled sushi into bite-sized pieces.

20 boneless wings schwan's oriental style teriyaki sauce (prepared and chopped 20 pieces of wingz)
1/4 cup chopped green onion
1 cup light mayonnaise
4 large spinach tortillas or 18 slices whole wheat bread
2 cups shredded lettuce

Steps:

  • Process boneless wings, green onion and mayonnaise in a food processor until chicken is in small pieces.
  • Spread mixture on large tortillas, top with shredded lettuce and snugly roll up the tortillas with loose ends underneath.
  • Cut into pinwheels.
  • Tip: Works great on whole wheat bread as well.

1 1/2-2 lbs raw chicken (Cut into smaller strips)
4 chopped green onions (optional)
1 cup cooked white rice (optional)
1/4 cup honey
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons sesame oil (vegetable oil works too)
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 minced garlic cloves
1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Steps:

  • In a medium sized bowl, combine the Merinade ingredients.
  • Add the chicken to the merinade and let sit for 20 minutes.
  • (OPTIONAL) Now would be a perfect time to cook some white rice while you're waiting on that chicken.
  • Heat a medium sized wok and empty the chicken and merinade into it.
  • Stir fry the chicken on high heat for about 5 minutes. The sauce will thicken during this time.
  • (Optional) Add the green onions and stir fry for another 30 seconds.
  • Remove from heat.You are now ready to serve your chicken!

8 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
8 thin slices deli ham
4 slices provolone cheese or 4 slices mozzarella cheese, halved
2/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1/2 cup grated romano cheese or 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
1/2 cup milk

Steps:

  • Flatten chicken to 1/4-inch thickness.
  • Place a slice of ham and cheese on each piece of chicken.
  • Roll up from a short side and tuck in ends; secure with a toothpick.
  • In a shallow bowl, mix crumbs, grated cheese and parsley.
  • Pour milk into another bowl.
  • Dip chicken rolls in milk, then roll in crumb mixture.
  • Wrap and freeze roll-ups for up to 2 months.
  • To use frozen chicken--completely thaw in the refrigerator.
  • Unwrap roll-ups and place on a greased baking sheet.
  • Spritz with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Bake uncovered, at 425 degrees for 30 minutes or until juices run clear.
