Fresh Strawberry Pie I image

Delicious pies made with fresh strawberries. Top with whipped cream if you like.

2 (8 inch) pie shells, baked
2 ½ quarts fresh strawberries
1 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup boiling water
1 (3 ounce) package strawberry flavored Jell-O®

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, mix together the sugar and corn starch; make sure to blend corn starch in completely. Add boiling water, and cook over medium heat until mixture thickens. Remove from heat. Add gelatin mix, and stir until smooth. Let mixture cool to room temperature.
  • Place strawberries in baked pie shells; position berries with points facing up. Pour cooled gel mixture over strawberries.
  • Refrigerate until set. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.

An easy no-bake strawberry Jello pie recipe made using Cool Whip, graham cracker crust, fresh berries, and Strawberry Jello.

1 package (3 ounce) strawberry Jello
⅔ cup boiling water
1 cup ice water
1 package (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
2 cups strawberries, diced
1 premade graham cracker crust (10 in.)
additional whipped topping and strawberries for topping, if desired

Steps:

  • Add jello mix and boiling water to a large bowl. Whisk together for 2 minutes or until dissolved.
  • Add ice water; stirring well until all ice has melted. Allow the mixture to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes to allow the gelatin to thicken.
  • Whisk in whipped topping. Fold in 1 ½ cup of the diced strawberries.
  • Spoon filling into graham cracker pie crust. Sprinkle with remaining diced strawberries.
  • Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or until set (I like to let it chill overnight).
  • Slice and serve. Top slices with whipped topping and/or additional strawberries, if desired.

The pie my brother always wants for his birthday. Very good in a Cream Cheese Crust (recipe #97877).

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
6 teaspoons cornstarch
3 ounces strawberry Jell-O gelatin dessert
1 -2 pint washed and hulled strawberry
1 9 in.baked pastry shell, cooled

Steps:

  • Bring sugar, water and cornstarch to a boil over medium high heat.
  • Add Jell-O, stir until dissolved.
  • Cool and then add strawberries.
  • Refrigerate about 45 minutes or until it starts to congeal.
  • Put in pie shell and cool completely.
  • Top with whipped cream or ice cream to serve.

  • Start with baking your pie crust according to instructions (You can also use pre-cooked pie crust or even graham cracker crust that's pre-made). Once the pie crust is baked and golden brown, set aside and allow it to cool.
  • Cut the strawberries and arrange them around the outside later of the pie shell first, then work your way to the center. You can also leave the strawberries intact if you are short of time.
  • In a medium saucepan mix the water, sugar, and cornstarch and stir over medium heat. Stir constantly until the sugar mixture has thickened.Remove the saucepan from the heat and add in the jello packet. Stir until combined.
  • Place the jello mixture into the refrigerator and allow it to cool for 15-20 minutes. (You need the mixture to thicken to stick to the strawberries and not completely sink to the bottom of the pie shell.)
