1 7-8 pound ham - whole or spiral cut
1 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup apricot preserves
1/4 cup whole grain mustard

Steps:

  • Place ham in a 7 to 8 quart slow cooker.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, apricot preserves and mustard. Pour over ham. Cover ham and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours or until a thermometer reads 140 degrees. **Make sure to take the temperature from the thickest part of the ham.
  • Remove ham from slow cooker and spoon over juices from bottom of pot. Slice or remove slices and serve.

3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 fully cooked smoked bone-in ham (6 to 7 lb)

Steps:

  • In small bowl, stir together all ingredients except ham. Place ham in 6-quart slow cooker. Pour juice mixture over ham.
  • Cover; cook Low heat setting 6 to 8 hours.

5 lbs canned ham or 5 lbs semi-boneless ham
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon horseradish
1/4 cup Coke

Steps:

  • Combine brown sugar, dry mustard, horseradish with enough of the coke to form a paste.
  • Smear all over the ham.
  • Place ham with the remaining coke in a crock pot.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.

I made a ham, and there's nothing better with the ham bone than a pot of beans. I also added ham to the recipe with the ham hock. I love that you don't have to presoak your beans. 3 cups dry pinto beans, sorted and washed
1 large ham hock
1 medium yellow onion, diced
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon mrs dash salt substitute or 2 teaspoons seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
7 cups water
chopped green onion (to garnish) (optional)

Steps:

  • After sorting and washing the beans, put them in the crock pot.
  • Add the onions, garlic, and ham hock.
  • Pour in the water, then sprinkle with the seasonings.
  • COver the crock pot and set on high for 6 hours.
  • Once the beans are done, serve them over rice.
  • Garnish with green onions.

  • In a medium saucepan, combine cola, brown sugar, mustard, cinnamon, cloves and garlic. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring often. Reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes (to allow glaze to reduce), whisking frequently. Remove garlic cloves.
  • Pour glaze over the ham. Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours, or until a thermometer registers 140 degrees F when inserted into the thickest part of the ham. Transfer ham to serving platter.
  • Pour liquid from the slow cooker into a medium saucepan. In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch with 4 teaspoons of cold water. Add the cornstarch slurry to the saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat, and cook (stirring regularly) for 6-8 minutes (or until thickened). Pour glaze over ham and serve!
