Did you know you can make mushrooms in a slow cooker that taste just as good as sautéed mushrooms? It's true! These easy Italian mushrooms go with steak, chicken, or fish, but their so good you find yourself eating them right out of the crockpot!

1 lb. Whole Medium Sized Mushrooms
1/2 Cup Butter (no substitutes)
1 Envelope Italian Dressing Mix

Steps:

  • Rinse off any dirt that may be on the mushrooms.
  • Dump the mushroom into a slow cooker. I use a 2.5 quart one.
  • Melt the butter and whisk in the dressing mix. Pour over the mushrooms.
  • Cook on low for 4 hours. Serve with a slotted spoon.

1 pound medium fresh mushrooms
1 large onion, sliced
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 envelope Italian salad dressing mix

Steps:

  • In a 3-qt. slow cooker, layer mushrooms and onion. Combine butter and salad dressing mix; pour over vegetables. Cover and cook on low until vegetables are tender, 4-5 hours. Serve with a slotted spoon.

Four ingredients is all it takes to make these impressive mushrooms. They're full of flavor, and are great on their own or on top of grilled steaks.

Number Of Ingredients 4

› 4 (8) ounce packages J-M Button or Crimini Mushrooms
› 1 1/2 stick Hiland salted butter
› 1 bottle Dianes Legendary Italian Salad Dressing
› 3 tablespoons cornstarch

Steps:

  • Step 1 -- Clean mushrooms, dry with a paper towel and place in a large slow cooker.
  • Step 2 -- Melt butter in a small saucepan. Into the saucepan, pour in the oil from off the top of the salad dressing so that you're left with a little more than half the dressing in the bottle. Using a tsp measure, add 3 tbsps into the dressing bottle, recap and shake until all the cornstarch is mixed in and smooth.
  • Step 3 -- Pour the cornstarch mixture evenly over the mushrooms, and gently stir with a rubber spatula. Pour warm butter mixture over mushrooms, gently stirring to combine. Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.

Steps:

  • Place mushrooms in a 6-qt. slow cooker. Mix remaining ingredients; pour over mushrooms. Cook, covered, on low until mushrooms are tender, 5-6 hours. Serve with a slotted spoon.
