- In a large non-stick stock pot, melt 4 Tbsp of butter. Add the marshmallows and stir constantly until melted.
- Remove melted marshmallows from heat. Add Fruity Pebbles Cereal and stir/fold until the melted marshmallows are evenly distributed amongst the cereal.
- Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish. Flatten the krispies with the bottom of a measuring cup that has been buttered, so it doesn't stick, and doesn't burn your hands.

- Divide your 15 oz of marshmallows into 6 portions. Place the first portion in a medium mixing bowl and add the first 1 1/2 Tbsp of butter.
- Microwave marshmallow and butter combination for 1 minute (depending on your microwave, you may need an additional 30 second heating, but if your marshmallows are nice and fluffy they should be ready to mix. A few semi-solid spots in the marshmallows is OK).
- Stir the heated marshmallows, add your desired food gel color, then stir in the 2 cup portion of Rice Krispies until well coated. *A 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract can be added for each layer, if desired.
