Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 Tbs pumpkin pie spice (or 1 tsp each of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger)
½ tsp salt
1 cup canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
2 eggs
3 Tbs butter (melted)
1⁄4 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup milk (plus extra if needed)

Steps:

  • Heat your waffle iron.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice and salt.
  • In a medium bowl whisk together the pumpkin, eggs, butter, brown sugar and milk until well combined.
  • Make a well in the dry ingredients, and pour in the wet mixture. Mix together until JUST combine, being careful not to over mix.
  • Your mixture will be thick but pourable. If too thick add 1/3 cup extra milk.
  • Pour batter into waffle iron, and cook according to waffle iron directions (my Belgian waffle maker will take longer than a regular iron).
  • Remove from waffle iron, serve with butter and maple syrup.
  • Devour

PERFECT PUMPKIN SPICE WAFFLES

Perfect Pumpkin Spice Waffles image

The perfect waffles for fall or when you're craving that pumpkin and spice taste! However, my family requests this recipe year-round.

Time 20m

Yield 8

Number Of Ingredients 13

4 large eggs, separated
1 pint buttermilk, shaken vigorously
1 cup canned solid-pack pumpkin
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
⅓ cup packed light brown sugar
2 ¼ teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
cooking spray

Steps:

  • Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Beat egg whites in a glass or metal bowl until soft peaks form. Lift your beater or whisk straight up: the egg whites will form soft mounds rather than a sharp peak.
  • Beat egg yolks, buttermilk, pumpkin, and butter together with a whisk in a large bowl until smooth; add flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, ginger, salt, and cloves. Stir the mixture with the whisk just until you have a smooth batter.
  • Fold the egg whites into the batter just until combined.
  • Prepare cooking surfaces of your waffle iron with cooking spray. Ladle about 2/3 cup batter into the prepared iron and cook until browned, 4 to 5 minutes.

PUMPKIN SPICE WAFFLES WITH BUTTERNUT & BACON SYRUP RECIPE - (4.6/5)

Pumpkin Spice Waffles with Butternut & Bacon Syrup Recipe - (4.6/5) image

Provided by á-43854

Number Of Ingredients 16

PUMPKIN SPICE WAFFLES:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
4 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 1/4 cups whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
BUTTERNUT & BACON SYRUP:
4 slices bacon, chopped
1 cup chopped butternut squash cubes (about 1/2-inch cubes)
1 1/4 cups maple syrup

Steps:

  • Prep the syrup first. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the chopped bacon. Once the fat is rendered and the bacon starts to crisp, add in the butternut squash and stir. Cover the skillet, reduce the heat to medium-low and cook until the squash is fork tender and begins to caramelize, about 10 minutes. Stir once or twice in between - you do not want the squash to become mushy! Add in the syrup and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, turn off the heat and cover the syrup until ready to use. To make the waffles, combine the flours, 2 tablespoons of sugar, baking powder, pumpkin spice and salt in a large bowl and whisk together. Set it aside. Separate the eggs, and add the egg whites to the bowl of an electric mixer. Beat on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form. Beat in the remaining sugar. Set the eggs whites aside for a minute. In a bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, milk, pumpkin and coconut oil. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and stir until just combined - do not overmix. Finally, fold in the whipped egg whites until the batter comes together. Preheat your waffle iron to the desired setting and cook the waffles according to your appliance's directions. Serve them immediately with the warm bacon + butternut syrup.

PUMPKIN SPICE WAFFLES

Pumpkin Spice Waffles image

Nothing says good morning on a crisp fall day like these pumpkin spice waffles. Chopped pecans and a drizzle of pure maple syrup are the perfect topping, but truth be told, I've been known to devour them plain, straight from the waffle iron.

SPICED PUMPKIN WAFFLES

Spiced Pumpkin Waffles image

These waffles are my kids new favorite waffles. They're delicious! They have a light texture and the pumpkin flavor is not overpowering. The serving size is for Belgian waffles, but they will work fine in a regular waffle iron also.

Categories     Breakfast

Time 15m

Yield 8 Belgian waffles

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 pinch salt
2 eggs
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup canned pumpkin puree
1 2/3 cups milk
4 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled

Steps:

  • Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt in large bowl.
  • In a second bowl, add eggs, sugar, pumpkin, milk, and butter; beat well.
  • Gently fold in the flour mixture.
  • Cook according to your waffle iron directions.
  • I do these in my belgian waffle iron and it uses about 1 cup batter and takes 4-5 minutes to bake.
  • They come out a nice deep, golden brown.
  • These are great with a little bit of syrup, but would also be great with honey butter.
