Yield Makes about 2 cups

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup dry red wine
1/4 cup corn oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon paprika
2 teaspoons black pepper
4 garlic cloves crushed
4 teaspoons dried oregano

Steps:

  • Blend all ingredients in processor until combined. Transfer to bowl. (Can be prepared 2 weeks ahead. Cover and chill.)

This recipe came from my granfather years ago and it has been passed down to me now by my mother. I think it is really good and easy to make.

1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
4 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
3/4 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
2 garlic cloves (chopped)
3 tablespoons butter
1 large onion (chopped)

Steps:

  • Just put all ingredients together in a sauce pan. Bring to boil and then cook on low for about 20 minutes.

½ cup white sugar

Steps:

  • Mix ketchup, vinegar, mustard, sugar, garlic powder, salt, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper together in a bowl until smooth.
