PIZZA PATTIES
To cut preparation at mealtime, mix and shape these patties the night before and refrigerate. If you like lots of sauce, you may want to serve extra spaghetti sauce on the side for dipping.

- In a large bowl, combine the green pepper, onion and Parmesan cheese. Crumble sausage over mixture and mix just until combined. Shape into four patties. , In a large skillet, cook patties over medium heat for 7-8 minutes on each side or until meat is no longer pink; drain., Add the spaghetti sauce; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 7-8 minutes or until heated through. Place a patty on the bottom of each bun; drizzle with spaghetti sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese; replace tops.

HOMEMADE PIZZA BURGERS
We are big fans of pizza burgers that some greasy spoons serve, but it is so hard to find a good one so I decided to come up with my own. Here is a real simple recipe that puts smiles on the faces of my family.

Steps:
- Combine beef, tomato paste, salt, sugar, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, pepper, and oregano in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate to let flavors marry, about 4 hours.
- Form beef mixture into 8 thin patties. Place 1 slice of mozzarella cheese on each of 4 patties; leave at least a 1/2-inch border, breaking up the cheese as needed. Place remaining patties on top and pinch edges to seal in the cheese.
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Fry burgers until browned and centers reach 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), 6 to 7 minutes per side. Serve on buns.

PATTY MELT PIZZA
Every weekend that I go into Publix to get groceries, there is a lady standing at the front door cooking something and giving out samples. This was last weekend's recipe. I LOVED IT. I hope the rest of you do too. Enjoy!

- 1. Prep - *Preheat oven to 400 degrees. *Slice onion.
- 2. Preheat large saute pan on medium-high 2-3 minutes. Add ground beef, seasoned salt, and pepper; brown 5-7 minutes, stirring to crumble meat, or until no pink remains. Stir in steak sauce; remove meat from pan.
- 3. Place pizza crust directly on oven rack; cook 7-8 minutes or until slightly crisp.
- 4. Place butter in same pan, then add onions, caraway seeds, and Worcestershire sauce; cook 8-10 minutes or until soft and well browned.
- 5. Place pizza crust on baking sheet. Combine shredded cheese and dressing; spread over crust. Arrange meat over dressing; spread onions over meat. Top with cheddar cheese and return to oven; bake 4-5 minutes or until cheese melts. Slice pizza and serve!

- Heat oven to 400°F. In 2-quart saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic; cook about 4 minutes, stirring constantly, until onion is tender. - Meanwhile, spray 12-inch skillet with Crisco® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray. Spread sausage over bottom of skillet into large patty. Cook over medium-high heat 5 to 8 minutes on each side, turning once, until no longer pink in center. (If necessary, cut patty in half or into quarters to turn.)
- Coat bottom and side of 12-inch cast-iron skillet or other ovenproof skillet with 1 tablespoon oil; sprinkle with cornmeal. Unroll pizza crust dough in skillet; press on bottom and at least halfway up side. Brush dough with remaining 1 tablespoon oil; prick bottom and sides of dough with fork. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over dough. Top with sausage patty, keeping patty in one piece.
- Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until crust is light golden brown. Spread sauce over sausage. Bake 5 to 10 minutes longer or until crust is golden brown. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
