EASY CITRUS SLUSH
Our church's hostess committee has relied on this refreshing drink for bridal and baby showers and other events. We often use different flavored gelatins to match the decor of the occasion. -Joy Bruce, Welch, Oklahoma

Steps:
- In a large container, dissolve sugar and gelatins in boiling water. Stir in the pineapple juice concentrate, lemon juice, drink mix and cold water. If desired, divide among smaller containers. Cover and freeze, stirring several times., Remove from freezer at least 1 hour before serving. Stir until mixture becomes slushy. Just before serving, place 9 cups slush mixture in a punch bowl; stir in 1 liter ginger ale. Repeat with remaining slush and ginger ale. If desired, garnish with lime slices.

This is a summer delight! I found this several years ago in a magazine. It's addictive, and it's a breeze to mix up. Go ahead! Pour yourself a glass of summer!

Steps:
- Beat sugar and lemon juice on high speed for 3 minutes or until sugar is partially dissolved.
- Gradually add milk, beating constantly on high.
- Stir in lemon extract and lemon peel.
- Transfer this lemon/sugar mixture to serving pitcher.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Just before serving, gently stir in soda.
- Best served over ice.
- This could possibly be made with Splenda, and also might be tasty with orange juice/extract instead of lemon.

- In a large saucepan, combine sugar and 2-1/2 cups water; cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Cool slightly., Stir in citrus zest and juices. Let stand, covered, 1 hour. Strain syrup; refrigerate, covered, until cold., To serve, fill glasses or pitcher with equal amounts of fruit syrup and water. Add ice and serve.
