1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup Asian hot sauce, such as Sriracha
1/2 lime, juiced
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Vegetable oil, for frying
1 pound fresh lump crab meat, rinsed, drained and dried
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon minced fresh chives
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
2 tablespoons minced red bell pepper
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 egg, beaten
2 1/2 cups Rice Krispies cereal, divided
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • For the aioli: Mix together the mayonnaise, hot sauce and lime juice. Season with salt and pepper.
  • For the fritters: Heat a pot of oil to 350 degrees F. Combine the crab, garlic, chives, parsley, bell pepper, mustard, mayonnaise, egg and half the cereal. Season with salt and pepper. Form into walnut-size balls. Crush the remaining cereal in a bag with a rolling pin and roll the balls in the crumbs. Carefully drop the balls into the hot oil and fry until golden, 2 to 4 minutes. Serve with the spicy aioli for dipping.

1 cup Rice Krispies® (crushed to 1/2 cup)
2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
2 cups Rice Krispies®
2 egg whites
1/2 teaspoon seasoned pepper
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
2 tablespoons light mayonnaise
1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro
2 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
1/4 teaspoon liquid hot pepper sauce
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
1 (6-ounce) package frozen crabmeat, thawed, finely chopped
4 ounces cleaned raw shrimp, finely chopped
CILANTRO SAUCE
6 tablespoons light mayonnaise
3 tablespoons Dijon style mustard
1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro
1 tablespoon finely chopped green onions
1/4 tablespoon liquid hot pepper sauce

Steps:

  • 1. In small bowl, combine the crushed KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal and cheese. Set aside for coating.2. In large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine remaining ingredients. Using level tablespoon, shape into balls. Roll balls in crushed cereal and cheese mixture. Place on baking sheet coated with cooking spray.3. Bake at 350°F about 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve hot with Cilantro Sauce.4. To make Cilantro Sauce, thoroughly combine all sauce ingredients and store in refrigerator. Serve cold with Appetizer Balls. NOTE: Substitute 1 package (8 oz.) imitation crabmeat for crab.
