- Peel, core, and dice the apple.
- Place whole dried cranberries in a bowl and cover with boiling water. Set aside and let it sit.
- Melt butter in a medium-size saucepan over low to medium heat.
- Saute the apple with cinnamon for a minute.
- Add brown sugar and heat until sugar dissolves.
- Add cranberry jelly to the apples and mix thoroughly.
- Drain reconstituted cranberries and add to the cranberry sauce.
- Mix in and remove from stove. Serve warm or chilled.
