Steps:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Peel, core and dice apples.
- Mix with the cranberries and brown sugar.
- Place into pie shell.
- Place the walnuts in a processor and pulse for 5 seconds.
- Add the remaining ingredients and pulse until blended but still crumbly. (You can also chop the nuts by hand with the back of a large spoon and blend them with the rest of the ingredients.).
- Spoon topping over the pie and bake for 20 minutes at 425 degrees, then turn oven down to 350 degrees and bake for 30 minutes more.
- Cover top with foil to prevent from darkening to much.

CLASSIC HAMBURGER PIE
A classic hamburger pie recipe handed down from my mother.

Steps:
- Place potatoes into a large pot and cover with salted water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes; drain. Set aside to cool in a large bowl.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef and onion in the hot skillet until the beef is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink, about 10 minutes. Stir green beans and tomato soup into the ground beef mixture; transfer to prepared casserole dish.
- Mash the cooled potatoes with milk, egg, garlic, pepper, and salt; spoon in mounds over the ground beef mixture. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over the potatoes.
- Bake in preheated oven until cheese is melted and edges of dish begin to brown, 25 to 30 minutes.

BUMBLEBERRY PIE I
This pie is a mixture of four flavors: apples, raspberries, blackberries, and rhubarb.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Stir sugar and flour together in large bowl. Add apples, raspberries, blackberries, and rhubarb. Toss together, and turn into pie shell. Cover with pastry top. Trim and seal edges. Cut vents in top.
- Bake at 350 degree F (175 degrees C) for approximately 45 minutes, until crust is brown and apple is cooked.

- To make the crust: Whisk together the dry ingredients, and cut in the vegetable shortening and butter., Whisk the egg and water together, then sprinkle over the flour mixture., Knead together, adding a bit of extra water to make the dough cohesive, if necessary., Form the dough into a disk, wrap it well, and refrigerate for 30 minutes., To make the filling: Toss the berries and peaches with the sugar and enhancer or flour.
- If they're dry (like blueberries), run them under water first; this makes it easier to combine them thoroughly with the sugar/thickener mixture., To assemble the pie: Roll the crust into a 13" to 14" round, and transfer it to a pizza pan or baking sheet., Mound the sugared fruit in the center of the crust, leaving about a 3 1/2" margin of bare crust all the way around., Fold the crust up over the fruit, pinching or pleating as you go, leaving 5" or so of fruit exposed in the center., Spritz the crust with water and sprinkle with sparkling white sugar, if desired., Bake the pie in a preheated 425°F oven for about 35 minutes, or until the filling is bubbling and the edges of the crust are brown., Remove it from the oven, and cool for 15 to 30 minutes before cutting into wedges., Store, covered, in the refrigerator for 3 days.
