Celery Sticks with Horseradish Cream Cheese image

In this light snack, horseradish and Tabasco add heat and tanginess to cream cheese, while crunchy celery provides a cooling contrast.

Ingredients

1 bunch celery (2 1/2 pounds)
One 8-ounce package cream cheese, room temperature
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish, or more to taste
5 drops Tabasco or favorite hot sauce, or more to taste
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Steps:

Separate the celery stalks. Rinse them free of grit, and peel to remove strings if desired. Cut the stalks into 3- to 4-inch pieces, leaving the tender inner stalks whole. Wrap celery sticks in a damp cloth, and chill for 1 hour before serving.
In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, horseradish, and Tabasco. Season with the salt and pepper. Serve the cream cheese mixture with celery.

16 ounces cream cheese, room temp
3 tablespoons milk
1/4 cup prepared horseradish
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (or more)
1 bunch celery, cut into 3-inch sticks
walnuts, chopped very fine
black pepper, for garnishing

Steps:

With an electric mixer on medium, beat the cream cheese, milk, horseradish, and salt for 3 minutes. (You can be refrigerated for up to 24 hrs).
Mix the spread with chopped walnuts and then spread mixture on the celery sticks.
Sprinkle with black pepper.

2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon teriyaki sauce
1 dash salt
12 celery ribs, rinsed & dried

Steps:

Combine all of the ingredients except for the celery and blend until smooth.
Fill hollows of celery stalks with mixture.
