I like to bring this dish to work for potlucks. It's always a hit! Quick, easy, AND delicious!

1 large white onion, chopped
½ cup honey
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup butter
2 teaspoons mustard powder
1 ½ teaspoons garlic, minced
5 pounds chicken wings

Steps:

  • Stir onion, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, butter, mustard powder, and garlic together in a saucepan over medium heat; cook until hot, about 5 minutes.
  • Spread chicken wings in an even layer into a shallow baking dish; pour sauce over the wings.
  • Marinate wings in refrigerate 1 hour to overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Bake the chicken wings, turning occasionally, until no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear, about 90 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

These Honey Baked Chicken Wings with a delicious sauce of honey, soy sauce and balsamic vinegar.

4 lbs chicken wings (see notes)
1 cup honey
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 teaspoons garlic powder
scallions/green onions (finely sliced for garnish)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F
  • In a large zip lock plastic bag pour honey, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce and garlic powder. Stir gently to mix.
  • Add chicken wings. Seal bag. Then massage wings working the marinade in.
  • Allow to marinate 30 minutes/1 hour in the refrigerator
  • Line two large deep baking pans with non stick paper.
  • Take the bag of chicken out of the refrigerator.
  • Arrange chicken wings in lined baking pan leaving behind the marinade.
  • Place chicken wings into preheated oven. Bake for 20 minutes
  • As soon as you place the chicken in the oven to bake, pour the marinade into a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer. Watch carefully as it tends to boil over if the heat is too high. Continue to simmer until reduced to 1 1/2 cups.
  • After 20 minutes, turn the chicken wings over and return to the oven for another 20 minutes.
  • Now the marinade should be sufficiently reduced. Pour half into pan and turn the wings over to coat in the sauce.
  • Return to the oven for 10 minutes.
  • Arrange wings on a serving plate. Garnish with scallions/green onions, if desired.
  • Pour over some of the sauce. Serve the remaining sauce separately.

salt and pepper
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons chili sauce
1 cup honey
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Season chicken well. Rub with oil and bake in a pre-heated 400 degrees F oven for 15 minutes. Combine all remaining ingredients and mix with wings, reduce heat to 375 degrees F and bake another 45 minutes. If the sauce start to caramelize, reduce the heat again.

15 whole chicken wings (about 3 pounds)
1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons canola oil
2 tablespoons chili sauce
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

Steps:

  • Cut chicken wings into three sections; discard wing tip section. Set wings aside. In a small saucepan, combine the honey, soy sauce, oil, chili sauce, salt, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce and ginger. Cook and stir until blended and heated through. Cool to room temperature. , Place the chicken wings in a large resealable plastic bag; add honey mixture. Seal bag and turn to coat. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight., Drain and discard marinade. Place wings in a well-greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 30 minutes. Drain; turn wings. Bake 20-25 minutes longer or until chicken juices run clear and glaze is set.

24 chicken wings
2 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoons sugar
soy sauce
honey

Steps:

  • Throw some salt and sugar on the chicken wings.
  • Add enough soy sauce to nicely coat the chicken wings.
  • Place the chicken wings on a lightly greased cookie sheet in a single layer.
  • Squeeze honey over chicken wings (I turn the bottle of honey over and squeeze, making about three passes over each wing).
  • Bake at about 375 until honey carmelizes, turning occasionally-- It may take about 45 minutes-- Keep an eye on it--I like it when the wings are really browned but not burned.
