12 ounces chicken apple sausage (sliced into 1/2-inch pieces)
1 head broccoli (cut into florets)
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Place a sheet of parchment paper or foil on baking sheet.
  • Place sliced sausage and broccoli florets on sheet pan. Drizzle oil over sausage and broccoli.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper over sausage and broccoli. Toss to coat.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes.

1 medium onion, chopped
1 large sweet red pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
4 bone-in chicken thighs, skin removed
4 chicken drumsticks, skin removed
1 package (12 ounces) smoked sausage links, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 cup barbecue sauce
Sliced seeded jalapeno pepper, optional

Steps:

  • Place first 5 ingredients in a 4- or 5-qt. slow cooker; top with barbecue sauce. Cook, covered, on low 4-5 hours or until chicken is tender and a thermometer inserted in chicken reads at least 170°-175°., Remove chicken, sausage and vegetables from slow cooker; keep warm. Transfer cooking juices to a saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until thickened, 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally., Serve chicken, sausage and vegetables with sauce. If desired, top with jalapeno.

1 (13 ounce) package smoked chicken sausage (i used Grandessa brand sweet,apple gouda)
3 cups shredded cabbage
1 large granny smith apple, chopped
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon margarine
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 cup apple cider

Steps:

  • In large saute pan with a lid,saute cabbage, onion& apple in margerine& oil until cabbage is tender about 15 minutes.
  • Add sausage.
  • Saute another 10-15 minutes.
  • Add apple cider simmer covered 10 minutes.
  • 5 servings.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes& Dijon mustard if desired.
