At my house, the Best Snack Award goes to Ranch Oyster Crackers. This easy, no-bake recipe is little more than crispy crackers tossed in butter, herbs, and spices, but even a big bowl disappears in minutes.

1 cup butter (melted (2 sticks))
1/4 cup homemade ranch dressing mix (or 1 packet store-bought (see note 1))
1 tablespoon lemon pepper
2 teaspoons dried dill weed
1 teaspoon garlic powder
18 ounces oyster crackers ((see note 2))

Steps:

  • Line 2 rimmed baking sheets with foil for easy cleanup. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Ranch dressing mix, lemon pepper, dill weed, and garlic powder.
  • To a very large bowl, add oyster crackers. Drizzle with the melted butter mixture and toss until evenly coated. Spread evenly over prepared baking sheets.
  • Air-dry at room temperature for 3 to 4 hours, stirring periodically to help crackers dry evenly.

1 (1 ounce) package Ranch-style dressing mix
½ teaspoon dried dill weed
¼ cup vegetable oil
¼ teaspoon lemon pepper
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
5 cups oyster crackers

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the dressing mix, dill weed, vegetable oil, lemon pepper, and garlic powder. Add oyster crackers, and toss to coat. Spread evenly on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, stirring gently after 10 minutes. Remove from oven, and allow to cool before serving.

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper and/or garlic powder, (optional)
1 (16-ounce) box oyster crackers

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 250°F. In a small bowl, add the oil, Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix, dill, and lemon pepper and/or garlic powder. Stir until mixed through. In a 1-gallon-size Glad® Zipper Bag, add the crackers and oil mixture. Seal the bag and toss until well-coated. Arrange the crackers on an ungreased half-sheet pan in a single layer. Bake the crackers for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden.
