HAPPINESS IN A CUP HOT CHOCOLATE
I wanted hot chocolate for dessert tonight and I am utterly stuck up about powdered cocoa. That is for beyond the direst emergency. So I made my version :) Ghiradelli makes a 100% cacao baking chocolate. It is divine. Done right, this is a fairly expensive drink, but it is worth it!

Number Of Ingredients 6
Steps:
- In a crock pot, add chocolate and cream. Turn crock pot on high and stir every few minutes, until all the chocolate is melted.
- Add sugar and allow to fully dissolve. This can be made fairly low carb by replacing the sugar with a substitute.
- Add milk and star anise and let heat. Once the chocolate is smooth, add the Schnapps. Stir and lower heat to low. Let flavors merge for at least five minutes.
- Remove anise. Serve.
- 1/2 cup Schnappes is 2 T per serving -- adjust accordingly :).
