A super easy, two ingredient party food that bacon lovers will flip for.

8 rashers of bacon
24 large green olives, stuffed with pimento
(toothpicks)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400º F (205ºC)
  • Cut rashers of bacon into thirds.
  • Wrap one third of bacon rasher around olive and secure with toothpick.
  • Next, place on foil lined tray or pyrex dish.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes, turn the olives, and bake another 8 to 10 minutes or so, or until the bacon is starting to brown and is cooked. Serve hot or warm.

3 slices bacon
12 pimento stuffed olives, drained

Steps:

  • Cut bacon in quarters. Wrap each piece around 1 olive; secure with a toothpick.
  • Place on microwave dish and cover with paper towel.
  • Cook covered on high 5 to 6 minutes, or until bacon is crisp and lightly brown. Serve hot.

I saw this recipe on Ricardo & Friends. Looks so yummy and easy to do. I guess that you can try with other olives. I will try with hot pepper stuffed olives. Note : Taste the olives the day before making the recipe. If they are too salty, soak them in cold water for up to 24 hours.

12 slices bacon
36 oil-packed almond-stuffed green olives (see note)

Steps:

  • With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • On a cutting board, cut each bacon slice crosswise into 3 equal pieces. Roll an olive in each bacon piece, securing with a toothpick. Place on the baking sheet. Bake until the bacon is nicely browned and crisp 30 to 35 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Serve in a large bowl.
  • NOTE : Taste the olives the day before making the recipe. If they are too salty, soak them in cold water for up to 24 hours.

  • Taste the olives that you’re using to make sure they are not too salty. (Oil-packed olives are usually less salty.) If they are salty, or if they were packed in brine, rinse the olives well, or soak them in water for up to 4 hours to remove some of the salt.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees then line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut bacon strips into thirds cross-wise to form 30 short strips.
  • Cut each olive and each tomato in half at its equator. Put the cut sides of an olive and a tomato together, wrap in a strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Arrange bacon wrapped olives and tomatoes on the baking sheet on their sides with the bacon seams facing up. Space as far apart as possible.
  • Bake for 20 minutes then remove from the oven. Turn each one over then sprinkle with a bit of the brown sugar. Return the olives to the oven to bake for an additional 10–15 minutes or until the bacon reaches desired crispness. Remove from oven then let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
