This basic fresh margarita recipe is easy to modify to your tastes. Try it frozen or with strawberries. -Taste of Home Test Kitchen

Ingredients

1/2 cup tequila
1/4 cup Triple Sec
1/4 cup lime juice
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons superfine sugar
4 lime wedges
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1-1/3 cups crushed ice

Steps:

In a pitcher, combine the first 5 ingredients; stir until sugar is dissolved. Moisten rims of 4 margarita or cocktail glasses with lime wedges. Sprinkle salt on a plate; dip rims in salt. Serve over crushed ice in prepared glasses.

4 ounces Simply Limeade
1 ½ ounces tequila
½ ounce triple sec
lime wedges, (for serving)

Steps:

For salted rim glasses, take a lime wedge or a little bit of water and go around the top rim of a glass. Turn the glass over onto a small plate filled with kosher salt or coarse salt.
Fill prepared glass with ice and pour in tequila, Simply Limeade, and triple sec. Stir and enjoy!

2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups lemon juice
1/2 cup lime juice
1 lemon, sliced
1 lime, sliced

Steps:

In a large saucepan, heat the sugar and 2 cups water until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is hot. Allow to cool, and then place into a large drink dispenser or jug. Add the lemon juice and lime juice and stir. Fill with ice and top with 1 gallon (16 cups) cold water. Add the lemon and lime slices.
