Check The Food Item. When the lights start blinking on a vacuum sealer, the first step is to check the food item. This is because the dry mode works for preserving dry food items, such as cereal, pasta, dry fruits, and lentils.
The Moisture Content. FoodSaver has been designed with a moist mode, but many people end up vacuum-sealing the soups and stews. Unfortunately, it’s not possible.
Check The Bag. If the food doesn’t have too much moisture, you have to check the vacuum sealer bag. This is because a torn or punctured bag won’t be able to create a strong seal, hence the blinking lights.
The Lid. The vacuum sealer has to be properly closed to make sure the lights become solid and stop blinking. The first solution is to check the latch and make sure it’s in the locked position.
Gasket. Another solution is to check the gasket because the gasket has to be inserted properly. All the parts have to be inserted correctly into the vacuum sealer to make sure it works.
