1 cup edy's yogurt blends non-fat vanilla frozen yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (to taste)
1/4 cup skim milk (however much you want to add is fine, just add milk to your preferred thickness) or 1/4 cup 1% low-fat milk (however much you want to add is fine, just add milk to your preferred thickness)

Steps:

  • In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. You could also add in coffe syrup or chocolate syrup to change it up!

1/2 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced, plus whole strawberries, for garnish
2 heaping tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pint vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup milk

Steps:

  • In a mixing bowl combine the sliced strawberries, sugar and vanilla extract and stir to combine well. Set aside and allow to macerate for at least 20 minutes and up to 1 hour.
  • In a large mixer, place the strawberries, ice cream, and milk. Blend until smooth. Pour into ice cream parlor glasses and garnish the rim of each glass with whole strawberries. Serve immediately.

1 1/2 pints vanilla, strawberry or chocolate ice cream
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/3 cup vanilla-flavored syrup (such as Torani)

Steps:

  • Scoop the ice cream into 8 to 10 balls and arrange in a shallow dish in a single layer; return to the freezer until firm, about 20 minutes.
  • Put the evaporated milk and vanilla syrup in a blender, then put the blender jar and 2 large glasses in the freezer with the ice cream; chill at least 20 minutes.
  • When ready to serve, remove the ice cream and blender jar from the freezer. Add half of the ice cream to the blender and blend on high until smooth. Add the remaining ice cream and blend until smooth. Remove the glasses from the freezer and fill with the shake; serve immediately.
