FAMILY HOT TUNA DIP
Bubbling hot and cheesy, this dip makes a generous amount of delicious appetizer served with tortilla chips, crackers, or toast points. With the addition of a side salad, it will serve as a meal for two - four. The recipe is very forgiving of variation! Vary the quantities of mayo or cheese. Adjust the spices to suit you. Leave out the diced fresh veggies or use prepared "veggie cream cheese" to cut down on prep time. Substitute crab or salmon if you're not a tuna lover.

TUNA DIP
This recipe came from a friend of DH's many years ago. When I make this dip, DH devours it! Goes well with potato chips or crackers. Great to take to a party.

HOT TUNA DIP
The first time I heard of this recipe from my husband (then boyfriend) I said "YUCK!", but I am always game to try something new. There is a substantial Italian community close by here and this is a loose version of what they call bagna cauda. I love this stuff now but have yet to taste the authentic version. We usually have it...

Steps:
- 1. Drain water if using water packed tuna and place in microwave safe bowl.
- 2. Add butter and cream cheese. Microwave in increments till you can stir all together completely and the cream cheese is incorporated in with no lumps.
- 3. Add your garlic powder. This part is a personal preference. You can use fresh minced very fine, roasted smashed or if like me and can't wait just use as much powder as you like. If using fresh you may need to cook it longer or cook the garlic separate for a bit before stirring into the mixture.
- 4. Toast your bread and prop up so it cools and drys out some. Then cut in quarters to spoon the dip onto. Yum!
