This has got to be the easiest tomato soup recipe ever, and it's delicious. It tastes like canned homemade tomato soup that my mamaw used to make. Yes, all the ingredients are from a can.. but I assure you it's so tasty! And best thing, it takes about 10 minutes to make. I serve mine with grilled cheese or crackers.

2 (10 1/2 ounce) campbell's tomato soup
2 (14 ounce) cans petite diced tomatoes
1 (6 ounce) can tomato sauce
pepper (I use 1 tsp)

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients.
  • Bring soup to a boil.
  • Turn heat to low after soup boils and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Serve and enjoy.

This is a 4 ingredient soup that goes great with a 2-part swiss and 1-part provolone grilled cheese sandwich, buttered french bread, or celery with cream cheese. I make it with the large cans of Campbell's Tomato Soup and then freeze the left-overs in one serving portions for an easy warm up later.

1 (26 ounce) can water
1 (26 ounce) can v-8 spicy vegetable juice
3 -4 dashes Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Combine ingredients and whisk. Warm up to desired temperature. Pour into a bowl. Add fresh cracked black pepper if desired (I do.) Enjoy!

I came up with this one day after I'd attempted to like Spicy V-8 (cold) and didn't. This is a super easy recipe and my husband says it's the best tomato soup he's ever had!

1 (46 ounce) bottle spicy hot V8
2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
1/8-1/4 cup sour cream

Steps:

  • Pour V-8, tomato paste, and 1/8-1/4 sour cream (depending on how creamy/spicy you want it) into a saucepan and whisk together until combined.
  • Stir constantly on medium to medium high heat until desired soup temperature is reached.
  • Serve Immediately.

2 (28- to 32-oz) cans whole tomatoes in juice (preferably organic)
1 large onion, coarsely chopped (2 1/4 cups)
2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh jalapeño chile including seeds
2 teaspoons finely chopped peeled fresh ginger
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
2 1/4 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth (18 fl oz)
1 tablespoon sugar, or to taste
2 teaspoons salt, or to taste

Steps:

  • Drain 1 can tomatoes, discarding juice, then purée with remaining can tomatoes (including juice) in a blender.
  • Cook onion, garlic, chile, and ginger in oil in a 4- to 5-quart heavy nonreactive pot over moderate heat, stirring frequently, until onion is softened, about 8 minutes. Add cumin and cook, stirring, 1 minute. Stir in puréed tomatoes, broth, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 2 teaspoons salt and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes. Working in 3 or 4 batches, blend soup in blender until smooth (use caution when blending hot liquids). Transfer soup as blended to a sieve set over a large bowl and force through sieve, discarding seeds.
  • Stir in sugar and salt to taste. Reheat in cleaned saucepan if necessary.

This was inspired by another tomato soup recipe with additional ingredients. I kept it simple and made a great soup to pair with grilled cheese.

1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon butter
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can petite diced tomatoes with garlic and olive oil (I use Del Monte brand, others would work)
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 cup milk

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, sauté onion in butter until tender.
  • Stir in seasoned tomatoes (with juice), soup, and milk.
  • With a wand blender, whirl soup until desired consistency.
  • Bring almost to a boil.
  • Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.

1 (32 ounce) box cream of tomato soup (I use vegan)
1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes with jalapenos
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Pickapeppa Sauce (optional)
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon indian red curry paste (optional)
1 1/2 teaspoons dried chives
sour cream (optional)

Steps:

  • Mix everything together in sauce pan over medium heat. I use an emulsion blender to blend everything together, leaving some small chunks of tomato as we like it that way. Simmer until heated through. If desired serve with a small dollop of sour cream.
